Thread regarding Paramount Global layoffs

BTW James Faris at Business Insider

If anyone here is providing information or screenshots to James Faris at Business Insider, be cautious!

I’ve heard from my VP who knows the identity of one of the informants that they’re watching them and waiting for them to slip up again. I'm told their IP address, document download timings, and personal email logins have all been tracked. They’re waiting to take action and may fire them for gross misconduct.

To James Faris, I know you're probably reading this forum and LinkedIn, cause you reached out there - It’s probably becoming clear why the comms team isn’t supplying you with any quotes for your stories, but some of your informants might lose their jobs.

Ha so silly! Leaks hapoennand will happen, many times the company is the one leaking it to get ahead of it. A company this big any email that is sent will get out especially about the clown show over on Melrose.

@OP The sole intent of your post is to intimidate, bully and silence dissent. Such a petty company. Leaks happen all the time yet I don’t see multi trillion dollar companies go after the little guy. What was leaked that was so damaging to paramount anymore than what you’re already doing? I heard DE hates leaks and this is probably the reason for this post. You’re just cruel a--hole pr--k. Rot in he-l.

@cv my original work contract definitely had no NDA, and the global business conduct training would not count as an NDA. i quit anyways but i can tell you i signed an NDA with my new company and i know what that looks like, lol. paramount HR is incompetent and at least in swe there was no NDA nor were there any protections to prevent me from stealing code had i been malicious (obviously, i did not keep any company code)

@OP so the VP "knows the identity of one of the informants" but isn't doing anything? Why would they "watch and wait for them to slip up again" if already know who leaked? Sounds like an empty threat, but agree leakers need to be careful

@c5 Hmm not so sure, isn't that security course they make us do every year and then sign afterwards some sort of agreement not to disclose information? I would double check that in case, plus your original work contract, there could be something there. If you're going to leak company information just be smart about it, ha.

you know the funny thing is i think you could sue the company for wrongful termination, given that i never signed an NDA to work at the company.

@ag I’m not the original poster, but what does “ All will be revealed = )” mean in this context? Are you planning to reveal who, you called a “frightened little flaccid fool” is?

Maybe with everything going on in the company and industry, we shouldn’t be turning on our colleagues like that.

Godspeed

Your VP doesn’t know sh-t, this sounds a lot more like scare tactics than reality.

This isn’t 2005. No one needs to log into a corporate network to leak something. People have personal phones - they can take a photo, write a summary, or message a journalist without ever touching company systems.

@OP

I'm not anyone you mentioned in your post, but your concern trolling is instead showing how you seem to be quite unnerved by that guy who's just doing his job, reporting on current business news.

Why are your feathers so ruffled?
Is it something you've said or done, which you don't want being brought into the light?
If you're a stalwart, trustworthy, upstanding employee/board member, stakeholder, etc. no reporting of any type would bother you in the least.

There's a lot of fear coming off your words in your post, where you're trying (and failing) to silence others, by not so subtly threatening a reporter and Paramount employees' jobs, simply for them exercising their RIGHT to FREE SPEECH.

HAAAAAAAAAAAAA HAH AHA HAHAHAHAHA!!!!!

Undoubtedly, you see yourself as being some sort of "tough guy/hotshot", but you're really just a frightened little flaccid fool, who's made some very poor choices in life. It doesn't matter how much money you might have, or however much "prestige" you believe your position in life allows, you're already demonstrated here that you're an aggro control freak who's in a panic about whatever it is you fear being exposed. It's so amusing watching self-inflated narcissists melt down in frustration when they realize that they indeed DON'T have all the power...and that truth and honor ultimately win out over corruption, coercion, deceit, intimidation, and evil intent.

As the lyrics to Led Zeppelin's "Kashmir" go: "All will be revealed."
