Lots of reorgs are coming. Lots of meetings were held today. I feel bad for those who were surplused. And unfortunately, another wave is coming in September.

The word is there will be similar cuts quarterly going into at least 2027. Fingers crossed my number gets called at some point. By Q3 2027 I suspect AT&T will be at <80k headcount. I hope Copliot get a lot better or this is a death spiral for the company.
Nothingburger. Probably less than 1000 impacted. Needs of the business.

@a4 what group are you guys? We have all hands meeting tomorrow… just got the notice at 5pm today….
my group was slightly over 20%. People hit within my group wasn't based on skillset but simply on job responsiblity. It only had to do with their specific job assignment and not how well they did it.
And, of course, it was also what organization you are in and not how well you performed in that organization. Some orgs had bigger cuts than others.
When they take straight percentages, it's all about being in the right place on the right assignment and not how much you contribute.

Yeah I heard the same. Some groups ripped the bandaid off this round. We had almost exactly a 30% reduction today.
