Frequent cuts, endless political games, and ever-changing job descriptions are just few of the things wrong here. There's also no clear direction from the top. Most of us just show up and try to survive whatever the day throws at us.

A strategy deck is not the same thing as an executable strategy. The bigger issue is that leadership roles are too often filled based on tenure, relationships, or internal politics instead of execution capability.
You can see the effects in meetings and cross-functional work. Teams spend more time looking for direction, clarity, and decision-making than actually moving initiatives forward. There’s also a noticeable gap between how some leaders communicate upward versus how they operate with their teams day to day.
That kind of environment creates insecurity, poor execution, and high turnover among strong contributors.

thats not something Cigna is going to be doing more of. Targeting plans? All I see is Cigna exiting markets they can’t profit from (Medicare, IFP), its almost like they aren’t smart, and are returning to only the most lucrative plans they can fleece in the US commercial space. But that market is shrinking and everyone else wants a piece, too. Can Cigna compete? I don’t think they know how to anymore, the leadership is lazy.

Myself and most of our team see clear direction.
Put out customers and stakeholders and the center of all we do. Invest in areas that expedite our ability to do this and and cut things that do not or do not make financial sense.
The focus will be on pharmacies and health plans. From a health plan perspective, we will be very strategic in who we target and follow the data and analytics to help guide us into who to invest time into.
Just because you don’t like it or choose not to pay attention, doesn’t mean there isn’t a strategy.
