So those of us on Operations are all going to to lose 0ur job to USBank India and they send this email out about how great this new guy is shipping all jobs to India and Philippine
You missed a very important detail. The man they hired to run it is from Wells Fargo the most crooked bank. If I had to bet the CEO is just setting up her future to go back home to.
Funny when executives talk about workers in India just being "talent in another location", while also firing tons of Americans for not being in the "right" location.
If you look at all the teams and direct reports, once they have an indian manager, they only hire their own. Company is self distructing and becoming more Mumbai/London every day.

Even if you're a good slave and be-doverbackwards to be a good hourly (nobody is salary anymore) employee, there's zero guarantee your job is safe from being gifted to an Indian at this point. No point in doing anything above the bare minimum for this shithole of a company.

No surprise! My team was impacted by layoffs last year. Guess who was laid off? Not the Indians here on H1Bs. When every leadership position was replaced by Indians, was only a matter of time before this bank becomes USB of I.

@a4, no one was disputing that. We're just trying to figure out what the original poster is talking about, since it's pretty vague and it seems like no one else got that email.
@a2 50% of our technology area is in India and they just offshored an entire department to the GCC. A lot of our leadership is trending towards being Indian as well.
It's not ridiculous, people are seeing the pattern. Just because it's uncomfortable doesn't mean it's untrue.
