@jq The new building will have a couple hundred thousand square feet more to house the employees that are left after the Q4 reductions. They need the time to setup the entry keypads and cameras to closely monitor presence mandated by 5x8.
All about the elite’s leases and keeping offices occupied by the masses.
Or the board is trying to scare up some additional tax credits for staying downtown and keeping restaurants and bars open with the employee audience forced there 5x8.
There many nationwide GRE leaks saying we're absolutely leaving downtown Dallas.
The most AT&T scenario would be to spend millions updating the downtown location and then 2 weeks later announce a move to Plano.
Fact check true: remember when Randall moved ATTU into 675 in Atl after renovating and then moved them across the street and then moved them out of midtown in like a 4 year span?
You shall soon be terminated.
No way I'm leaving for anything north of Highland Park. Me and my homie only drive between Highland Park and my cozy underground garage spot. Fake news fellas.
After 100M Reno you think they will leave downtown? All of the execs live nearby… really? I don’t see the csuite leaving downtown in the next 10 years.
Most likely it’s to take in all the people moving here a then they will reorganize specific functions like ATS, training, etc in this specific new second office.
That explains the Plano offers from other contracting companies
Fake news
Not abandoning HQ downtown. It's to allow for consolidation long term.... STL, ATL, NJ

Step 1 - change everybody’s work location to an office 40 miles away, just under the severable amount. Hopefully ppl will quit
Step 2 - Move jobs to a far off hub and tell ppl they have to move but there is no relo. Hopefully more ppl will quit.
Step 3 - Move jobs from hubs to HQ. Hopefully those id--ts who moved will quit.
Step 4 - We need to dump even more of these id--ts, and those who were already at HQ. Let’s move HQ…
Stankey must be getting ready to retire because no way is he making that commute even with a driver 😂
We are moving up north. Shhh! Let's all act surprised when it happens.
@aa Follow The Work or Follow Thy Manager, that's where it's all going. Just a matter of time. Where's your manager now? If not your neighbor, get ready to move!!
We heard the company is moving HQ to Minneapolis where it's family safe.
700k sqft sounds like maybe the rest of us might have a decision to make!! Do we want to give up greenery and mountains for the dusty plains of Texas, without a relo package?
@aa 2030? That's a ways off without factoring AI technology. By then we will have flying cars and jet packs and India will be moving remaining operations to the Philippines
Recognize that within the next 8 months many AT&T employees will be given relocation notices. These will require employees to relocate to one of the 41 current hub locations/cities. That’s phase one as they would all need to relocate by mid 2027. By 2030 the bulk of T Employees will reside in other Dallas or Atlanta with only small number of market based employees remaining in hub cities . This is how they cull the herd

Not fake news!
If at&t wants to get rid of employees - relocate to South Dallas or Grand Prairie.
Sounds like sumptin’ Bubba would say, “Plain O, Texazz “.
