Looks like the cost of a H1B Visa may be going from $1,000 to $100,000. Walmart may have entered the FO part of FAFO. Those Q3 budget talks going to be crazy.

After a few days to reflect on it and do some studying. Im guessing this will just force Tech to stop issuing new ones except for the upper level leaders that they want to bring into the club. This will just force more jobs to be remote from India and really doesnt guarantee any additional Americans will be added.

This is great news, if your a American patriot and don't want to see jobs that should be given to you instead being given to someone overseas that simply has to say they have a few years of experience in a field and it's counted as a bachelors degree. Walmart is not your friend.
The new $100,000 fee is for new H1B applications. Not for current H1B’s. Apparently there’s chaos and misery over in India about this, too. What a bummer.
This surely might tighten some sphincters over at DGTC. It’s good, though, that we’re starting to see some management of the highly misused H1B program.
@a9 then you should get a good chuckle out of this. Today around 3:00 PM at Store 1 all POS was down, even Self Checkouts. People were lined up to about the back of the store. Some just leaving at one point. Apparently the systems had been down over 15 minutes when I got there. Turned around and left. No idea how long it was down.
As a recently long term Tech associate layed off. Ive been smiling and laughing all afternoon. The division is toast. How many more they going to layoff to cover that cost? How many visas did they just get? Wasnt it like 2,500 ($250,000,000) Im loving my severance right now and fully expect alot of phone calls soon about job opportunities but i got no plans to go back to DGTC.
