We are one day closer…
@a9 😂 Hoping this was meant to be funny.
I am working, but it's a part time job I can do from my desk at work. It's awesome!!!
Take your own medicine and you go back to work (or are you part of damage control, in which case you are worthless.
Go back to work and stop being focused on layoffs. If you want out, start looking and get the eff out when you see something
If you are good performer, and got RSU last year, you will be the first to axe, and claim back RSU, and hire cheap resource in India. It look good on their book. Ask those who came from Bell n Roger s , they secured their position by getting their yes master team and kicking out productive people from groups. Funny thing is, it’s not new to OT culture. I have witnessed these waves every 3-4 years . No new CEO can fix it, it’s the board members process of keeping it under their belt.
@bn I get it - but that doesn't mean we that are overseas from APAC are 'safe' either - the goals my dept were given are LITERALLY:
AI surface stuff
Upskilling into something AI can literally already do
'Please as a squishy automate away your fellow squishies'
We're likely seeing our share of cuts too. They're probably starting there because that's product/dev side. Licensing or tech support folks can be repurposed if MF's catalogue is gutted. Devs or product managers maybe not as well; and I imagine they have a rough idea on peak cutting options
@b4 Aww, that's so sad for India... Boo hoo.
Happening in Bangalore. I know few Microfocus employees being put on a 2 month STP (i.e. PIP) with impossible targets. Soon they'll be terminated, without any Severance package at all.
Won't happen until the new CEO is announced at least.
If I had to guess it will be start of next year, with reason being, new slimmed down focused company.
They are hoping someone offers to buy our none-core parts of the business.
Would not be happening if Duggan was ceo
