258 roles closed from vsp and 259 got isp
I'm not a math genius but that's 517. Six months of me in panic wondering how both me and my wife who worked here until she just found a new role would pan out to feed 3 kids for 517 roles??????

@ae don't worry. You're still on an ISP list. They'll come for you later, after the dust settles and you've trained your replacement.
@ax Rumor is 10% were demoted, heard this from a friend who works in HR.
How many people were demoted? Just from my immediate circle, there were way more demotions than ISPs
@ae It’s snowing at my house! This global warming stuff must be a bunch of BS!!
That’s how d-mb you sound.
@a8 they will post those roles, claim they are having trouble filling them and file for H1-B visas to import indians.
You guys need to commit "H1-B" to memory. You're going to see it a lot in the future. It was Chewbacca's favorite way to fill roles while he was CEO of retail banking at Citi.
They have not included the 100s of Operations associates who were laid off in 2024 and start of 2025 before E.R became the buzzword. It was called "Optimization" ie: Outsourcing labor to india. Never forget about them, they were first to be tossed into the chubak meat grinder.
@a9, I didn't take the VSP and I sure as sh*t wasnt ISP'd. Nor was I demoted.
Know the facts jack!
Don’t kid yourself. If those 552 veteran associates didn’t take the VSP, you bet your a$$ they would have been ISP’ed. PP just wanted a way to replace them with cheaper younger labor.
@OP The whole thing doesn't make sense. Why did they lay people off when we're now going to have open roles for some of that same work? I'm not buying it.
I saw these numbers in Amplify. Not a fan of ER but have to credit the firm that they were transparent about the number of ISPs and not trying to hide big number of ISPs as many of us imagined.
To the point about whether they should have given information about ISPs 6 months in advance, I would rather have that instead of a surprise ISP with little notice. Advance notice lets you prepare and network for the possibility that you will lose your job. If many of us ignored that warning and just waited, that’s on us.
I have been with the firm for less than 5 years and seen how ruthlessly layoffs are handled at other companies from prior experience. So my perspective might be a little different for someone who has been with EJ their entire career and has different expectations.
Im pretty sure 500ish took vsp. And a lotttt of people were demoted or moved into teams that communicate a quiet push out. Just because you're fine doesn't mean the average employee is
