Ohio's U.S. Senator Bernie Moreno has joined President Donald Trump in asking for tech giant Intel's CEO to resign due to his reported ties to the Chinese government. Moreno has also asked for a fraud investigation into Intel's continued delays on the state's long-awaited semiconductor manufacturing plant.

The Left Coast types are jealous of Ohio because they all want some of that Skyline Chili.

Hey, it could be worse, the fab could be in Cleveland.

Pat saw this one coming.

Like any government project, once the fab was started, there was no stopping it.

That is some 8D level chess going on there.

Maybe that was why he didn't care how inept ELT was, and didn't even try to clean that up, because the government was going to make it all good in time.

Ok, that part is not the work of a stable genius, but the Ohio fab will be the gift which keeps on giving for Intel.

Nothing says government coinvestment like putting a $100B fab complex in Columbus Ohio.

Behold the genius of Pat. He knew how to drag in that sweet, free govt money.

It's ok, they can just print some more.

Ohio is mostly angry at Indiana, which is right next door and relatively rectangular in shape, and so makes Ohio look fat.

The prophet PG knew if he built it, they (the govt) would come.

If Cali gets a high speed train from Madera to Bakersfield, Ohio should at least have a leading edge fab.

If the train is never completed, the drivers can continue to drive at the same (100mph+) speed on Hwy 99, that the train would have.

But it's not like someone in Ohio is gonna start making leading edge chips out of their dairy farm. Not even in Cambridge Ohio, and those people are smart.

Ohio just wants some of that sweet, free government cheese.

Try to think of the Ohio site a a very large block of cheddar, and it will all make sense.

Remember, the B in EMiB stands for bridge, to nowhere.

That’s a lot of taxpayer dollars that Intel got from Ohio. Should be some accountability somewhere. I’m sure the Intel upper management got paid well.
Media should cover stuff like this instead of what Trump tweeted.

Same thing happened in Colorado and Texas around 20+ years ago..
Intel was planning some "green-field" FABs and campuses back then and abandoned both areas.. So OHIO should have been fo-e-warned this was a possible outcome.

It's sad the farmland was destroyed by Intel but I guess the payoffs happened so people walked away with bundles of cash.

@a4 Elon wants chips for xAI without enriching NVidia and Taiwan. Too bad Intel is too woke to provide this so Trump has to take charge.

@a4 I believe Ohio did their part by providing tax incentive and massive utility investment to support the plant. Ohio is not known for Demand Generation. Taco taco… duh
