I've been in this biz for a very long time and have seen how corporate America has wrecked the workforce. When the Dot.com hysteria was beginning I watched firsthand how both the established corps and startups would hire every warm body they could find trying to pump out something to sell just to get the investment firms to give them crazy money. That's when I first started seeing an influx of H1B's. In most cases it wasn't a pretty sight as the media liked to portray. Everyone worked like crazy and it was long hours and high risk and for the vast majority it never paid off - except to a limited few that worked the financial side.
The point is that you can't blame the H1Bs. Maybe you didn't invite them here but someone did and those people used them as much as they used the rest of us. I witnessed the higher stress levels they were - and maybe still are - under by being in a foreign place having to deal with people who maybe didn't want them here or see them as colleagues and who could be cut and sent back home at a moments notice.
Remember, the current corporatocracy is crushing us all. America hasn't always been like this and it doesn't have to be this way. Adjust your mindset and focus on the real problems - or keep going down this worsening hole.
