It’s what happens and how it feels when you’re company is late to the “what is the actual” transformation game, because the missed the opportunity 5 years ago. Cost cutting alone is a death spiral. Labor arbitrage isn’t competing differently. The effort to get the growth engine going is massive compared to competition and it has to be sustainable, because the cost side can actually compete differently. Sad, but true.

Never in my 10+ years here had morale be this low. We’ve had rough patches, including covid, but this is beyond painful. I’m certain it’s all just coming down the chain since I know supervisor in my area are struggling as well.

Been doing the bare minimum, smiling and nodding, and getting paid every 2 weeks all while not giving a sh-it for the past 3-4 years. Pretty much what 80% of the company has been doing. A pretty good gig overall.

Until I see substantial and meaningful corrective action and improvement in the processes, direction, and culture of this circus I will continue on this path all while not caring and not giving one fu-ck. :)

@a4
If you can't handle getting your a-s kicked consistently by smaller, more nimble companies, you can GET OUT.

There, fixed it for you.
