Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Two Years of RTO and Nothing’s Improved

It’s been two years since AT&T blindly followed Amazon into the RTO disaster. And for what? Nothing’s improved… morale, productivity, retention, all worse than before. The only thing that’s gone up is burnout.

Since then, almost no one else has moved to 5x RTO. The vast majority of major companies are still hybrid because they see the damage this kind of policy does to reputation, to employee engagement, and to the bottom line.

And to the guy claiming “5-day RTO is becoming the industry standard” - no, it’s not. It’s been two years, and nobody’s joining this sinking ship. No other major company in the industry does more than 3 days. You’d have to be completely delusional to believe otherwise. Or maybe you just think we’re a tech company. LOL.

@ct Buddy, You just named 5 companies. There are THOUSANDS in the country. That’s why we’re ranked 567 out of 600 on the list. A small minority work 5 days RTO. The vast majority operate in a WFH/Hybrid model. You can lie to yourself, but the masses don’t believe you. Keep wasting your time, bootlicker.

@ct oh now it’s 4 OR 5 days. Keep moving the goal posts to fit your narrative. I’ll take 4 days, why aren’t we 4 days? F-U

Not hard at all to find lists of big companies that have moved to 4 or 5 day rto. Blackrock, Citigroup, Dell, Ford and others. Att is hardly an outlier with their policy. Like it or not, your employer has the right to request in office presence. You have the option of looking for other remote employment.

Everything has improved, but our jobs are still not safe. You are going to be replaced, not by foreigners, but by automation.

What is a complete lie and falsehood is the fact Legg has 13k employees and almost 1000 are virtual and many listed as Market and no need to move to so called HUB locations.

#doj #fcc #att will be pulling reports to confirm the ethnicity of his chosen ones. Social warrior Pie Hole JackL399. Eat sn-t soup while it’s still warm. HR and legal better cover their tracks

The only thing that RTO was meant to “improve” is the coffers of the (complicit) BoD, C suite & their underling lackeys.

@a4 WRONG. That was just an easy way for useless government workers who consume our tax dollars to self terminate… With severance pay. Same thing that happens here just without severance. Wacky libcuck

@a4 only as a means to eliminate the workforce. Facts. Let’s be accurate. Same reason they did it here: to get people to leave. Except more folks aren’t leaving because the job market is in the toilet and the rest are just retired in place and won’t leave regardless of what they do.

Hold leadership accountable for this disaster. It’s nothing more than a failed social experiment.

"Donald Trump himself supports RTO.

Excellent reason not to support it here.
