Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

3400 W Plano Pkwy - Issue

So AT&T calls this their main and flagship office location. This office is a pathetic excuse for an office. I feel like I am in a 3rd world country.

There is no parking. Cars park illegally everywhere and drive over the speed limit. The parking they do have available is far back out by the dumpster.

Once I do make the walk into the office all the desks are taken and I have to work from the cafe. I have already contacted real estate about the situation, and they told me this is their only and flagship office available for drop ins in the Dallas suburbs. When I pressed them about parking and desk shortages, they told me I can take a shuttle from 2900 W Plano Pkwy, which is their CDO office and lengthens my commute further.

This company is pathetic. We have billions of dollars in free cash flow, yet we cannot have a respectable suburb office. 5 day RTO to improve collaboration, but now I have park out by the dumpster in the back and work in the cafe while someone warms up their fish lunch.

Always complaining. Nothing about layoffs, just endless whining.

Sounds like you need a can of DEI training or reeducation when the time comes in the next admin. Be tolerant of that fish smell because on the 2nd floor it's more of a smell of those not using deodorant. We have wellness and conf rooms with prayer mats left behind as "accomodations" take place

The definition of irony is taking the mandatory ergonomics training from your cafeteria workstation.

@b0 Agreed. Why are restroom floors covered in a layer of ur--e by noon? Do people not know how to aim? I always have to tippy toe my way in as if I am avoiding land mines.

I love the people that stay in the huddle rooms all day every day. Also the people that pi-s all over the toilet seats. I am not even making that up.

I think the plan is to put a wifi extender out by the dumpster. That dumpster can easily hold 4 people. You just have to get there early.

I think working from the nonstandard desk is against the healt and safety rules. OSHA General Duty Clause requires ergonomic desks min 20 inch depth 20 inch knee clearance to prevent MSDs. Dallas Fire Code 2021 mandates 150 sq ft per occupant for safe egress Forcing cafeteria or standing work violates both injury and fire hazards.. just send a complaint to 311 and OSHA;)

@aj You id--t. If everyone showed earlier that wouldn’t be the solution. I have seen this before and your Iq is really low, you will probably be surplussed soon anyways.

I thought about this for a long time as it is a huge issue that warrants a lot of attention. I came to what I believe is the best way to solve this. Go in earlier!

Before anyone corrects me. I meant main suburb office.

That’s not a thing.

No one calls it a flagship office. But it’s far better than having to go downtown and pay for sh---y parking. Show up by 8 and there is plenty of parking available

Be careful what you wish or ask for. If you show your not happy, they will tell you to go to Downtown HQ, which I guarantee you is 5x worse.

I am in 34k and I corroborate the situation, as a matter of fact, anyone working here would, but people are scared of speaking out. The 29k is not better.

I dooes want to know about said fish. Is fish tasty or spices be add upon requesting?
I also dooes take offense to said thrice world country comment. We have secret name of plano office of B2. It is shortest name for Bangalore 2. Even top supervisor dooes call it “little B” much of time. Enjoy fish

@a3 It is their flagship suburb office. It’s their main one in the suburbs. There is really nowhere else you can go unless you want to go to that god awful Discovery District we call our campus.

I was gonna say. I'm not sure anyone views 3400 as a flagship anything. More likely to mistake it for a Tesla dealership
