Thread regarding Dell Inc. layoffs

I just don't have time for the foolishness

Dell is just a foolish place. I just don't have the time for the politics and ridiclious decision making from our management team. I do what I need to do every day and ignore everything else. Our management has become totally mo--nic and everything is political so I just don't bother with it anymore. It's such an unethical company, I sincerely hope at some point the SEC come downs hard on them and they get sued.

If you are in management you are worthless and clearly management has changed considerably to a point where I just don't respect them anymore.

For now, it's just a job that will get me by so I can build my resume and then move on in a couple of year.

@op I completely agree. For me I try to let the politics and share price focus go over my head. I don't have to work particularly hard in my role and the pay is ok, I even have a decent manager. Looking for that perfect next job at MDs expense

I still can’t get over the fact that Michael Dell wanted to buy TikTok.

Follow in Trumps logic…. If you don’t have a crisis create one. Only good things can happen ehh?

I'd say it's far more the X/C level leadership who is absolute trash. Middle management can only do so much at the end of the day. Sr Managers all the way to Sr directors are just taking orders from the C levels. I actually feel bad for the GOOD managers because there is little they can honestly do.

It's the C level people that everyone should be pi---d at because ultimately, what they say is what goes and just trickles down the management chain.

Thinkpads are pieces of trash.
That being said - I don’t see how Dell can reconsider its talk of respect in it’s corporate culture while the CEO advocates that managers manipulate employees by creating fake crises to get people to work under pressure.

I don't know why it's still around. When I think Dell, I think AOL as well.

youth 100% all reaching for Macs.
anyone professional wants Mac or Thinkpads.

Pretty optimistic to think Dell will still be around in a couple years.
