Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

A lower level employee

Recently posted, in part, on LinkedIn:

“…AT&T leadership continues to set the gold standard in recognizing and rewarding its people. Their unwavering commitment to appreciation and employee happiness is what fuels our culture of excellence. When you feel seen, valued, and celebrated, you bring your best—and that’s exactly what we do.

I’m beyond proud to be part of a company that invests in its people and celebrates every chapter of their story. “

WOW.

Speechless. Though I did throw up in my mouth a little.

She also says “… make AT&T more than just a workplace—it’s a family. “

No ma’am, it is not.

That tired cliche isn’t true ANYWHERE.

And it could not be further from the reality of this place.

Did you even read Stank’s email a few weeks ago?

That gave you real “family” vibes, did it?

Sounds like an HR, AI or a post by someone new that hasn’t been with T long enough to know any better and is still brainwashed!

Time will show them the truth.

If you were a TDP fresh out of college and did not know anything but still making $150k to accomplish nothing, you would kiss their taints too.

"I just saw the post, looked like a team sponsored off site lunch. Must be nice. Looks like a good team to be on. I guess in their view it’s a great place to work, but that’s definitely not the norm"

Why don't you coordinate an off site lunch for your local team? You could also enjoy events like this.

I just saw the post, looked like a team sponsored off site lunch. Must be nice. Looks like a good team to be on. I guess in their view it’s a great place to work, but that’s definitely not the norm. We got some doughnuts and bagels that some employees purchased out of their own pocket. Otherwise we wouldn’t have gotten anything. Always being told to cut cost, cut cost, cut costs, no budgets for anything, and then you see stuff like this. I guess some animals are more equal than others. I just have to say this isn’t the norm or standard here at all. No recognition, no advancement, no connection awards, nada.

Hey "vp/officer mentor", did you see my post about how much I love this place? I'm so good on social media and can help build an image that doesn't exist! What do you think my next career step should be?"

Said lower level employee must be suffering from Stockholm Syndrome.

Just unbelievable. What world do these folks live in? That is definitely not my experience. Maybe 15 years ago it was like that, definitely not today. Employee survey says otherwise, fortune culture survey says otherwise.

Anyone that works here knows just how phony this is. I am actually embarrassed for this person. They somehow think this is going to help their career.

567.
