They are trying to get rid of people, not hire them.

Sounds like someone has a beef with someone’s manager, almost like a merger occurred and suddenly someone has to share the kingdom, with Your Manager.

@a1 Your manager can be right and wrong at the same time.. right as in a specific area doesn't have the funds and have been told by senior management we will not be hiring in your area while another area maybe allowed to recruit high end talent.
For example you may not need any low to medium range IT technical resources but you may need a specialized AI manager or a highly specialized certified position in DB or back office application (SAP for example).
There's conflicting information. They say hiring freeze, then they post internal job postings on the website and periodic emails that "if we know anyone looking for a job" type of corporate speak. It's all lies, who knows. Why would you want to get hired here? Crash test dummy application fall through? I'd rather work anywhere else.
On the IT Town Hall MG said there is none publicly but behind the scenes you try and employ someone.
It would be immoral and unethical to hire anyone into this disaster.
@a1 wasn’t it announced in one of town hall meetings? Pretty sure it was - back in October maybe. Xrx cannot hire - they have no money.
I'm asking about an official one, because our manager claims there is one, but we haven't heard anything from the higher ups.
