Thread regarding Follett layoffs

D&H & Ingram have us on Credit Hold...

Looks like FHE isn't paying the bills again! Unfulfilled orders are piling up, haven't seen any D&H or Ingram Micro orders in weeks. Rumors abound on Slack about cashflow issues again, but of course OTC is tight-lipped, pretending there's no issue, while the boots on the ground have to deal with the pi---d-off institutional customers. May be time to desert the sinking ship....

@OP definitely cashflow issues but not "AGAIN" - it has not ever stopped! The Ivory Tower loves to shift blame elsewhere. Who is handling the purse strings?

@g7 The declaration that there are no money issues and that credit holds can be resolved with "dialogue" followed by firing people, creating a vacuum in the accounts payable team from what I can gather - utterly tone deaf and frankly....NUTSO. Gee that will help the situation. What is going on?????

My favorite thing about this post? The banner ad at the top of the page has been: "End the Procurement Headaches".

Maybe the OTC Layoffs Page Monitor (even money that job has a title and a named parking space) should click that link.

But didn’t you hear in the one team meeting? If someone’s not being paid it’s not because the company doesn’t have money….. it’s because someone didn’t do their job! Hhahhehahahahrheahahaha

Ex-CM3 who remembered about this site - I love coming back here to remind me that quitting Follett was the best thing that ever happened to my mental health. FHE not paying their bills? FORK FOUND IN KITCHEN. No company is perfect, but holyyyy I do not miss explaining to stores and students and faculty why books aren’t in stores (by no fault of mine). Half of my former stores dropped their Follett contracts and are now thriving. It’s BEYOND time to jump ship.
