Thread regarding Centene Corp. layoffs

So exactly how long are these layoffs supposed to last?

We're all going to lose our minds before it's done.

The IT issues are making the metrics inaccurate. But the bad data is being used on our evaluations anyway.

@xh somehow this seems more intense on several levels. Talking to friends on more that one team and it seems more than one of us is being “set up” to be laid off (fired). The Pega metrics seem a little sketchy, honestly. Uber micro-managing with many teams going to “move assignments” to be watched at a degree that makes no sense for grown adults who are honest, so their work, and try hard. Sure there are mistakes. Can’t be driven to the degree we are and not make series we secondary to stress. Bottom line, though, is the fact the or seems to is we are being set up for be let go. Not one imagination. It’s really different this time around.

Centene lays people off 4-5x a year every year. It’s a cycle you can see happening over and over again. It won’t stop.

Every 3-4 months. Theres no end date. Company wants to cut administrative costs. A lot. We are all at risk.

Just lay off Telugu H1Bs. These are the advantages:

  1. jobs for Americans will be saved
  2. Centene can put a press release that they are creating jobs for Americans

@ay Unless some miracle occurs to make their ridiculous billions of dollars invested in AI actually work (which it DOESN'T), then yes - or us taxpayers will foot the bill if the government bails them out.

@OP ................Sounds like a continuous leave under FMLA for Anxiety caused by work related stress if it contributes to physical symptoms from stress: sleep disruption, inability to perform job duties, emotional dysregulation, panic, overwhelmed, inability to concentrate....std pays 60%.....this will allow for some peace while looking for another job especially since we all know they will either layoff or terminate us.
If all of us went out on FMLA they would be sc--wed just saying.

Our metrics was just raised to an unattainable number it seems also with the Pega, which what does that do and show?

Just more excuse to abuse us, treat us like sh*t. We work hard. Never good enough. Always told where we fall short. No one can be perfect but it’s expected all the while hammering down with unattainable “goals”, production numbers, and now Pega. Management by fear and intimidation. Supervisors in charge who are not even qualified. Managers permitted to disrespect the UM nurses. The list is truly endless. We don’t stand a chance. I love what I was hired to do but they make it miserable, scary, and health threatening. Toxic work environment.

Perpetually. Its unlikely to change unless they're acquired or go bankrupt, which is where they are headed. Layoffs have been ongoing in small droves so they can avoid the WARN ACT and it will continue.
