We lost more than half people in the last two years. Is there any chance we can consider ourselves safe?

My group was hit hard in 2024. We are getting hit hard again. The “list” was sent to managers today. If you really want to confirm the validity of the RIF - check people manager’s mood. The majority of them are walking around like zombies, avoiding 1:1s and moving stuff on the calendars. It really stinks that QCIs are due the same week as the RIF.
