It's pure cost cutting / downsizing until they hit the 150 million dollar number mentioned at a recent all hands. Across the board. I imagine some kind of financial formula was applied and then the names it targeted were handed down for execution without discretion.
@d2 yes well want to start Fiscal 27 with the lowest head count as possible and with the most pain money can buy.
Was anyone laid off who were in the group that was Virtual but in proximity to an office? That group was supposed have a job until next January (at that point either report to the office 5 days or be terminated).
@d2 What's the product? Carbonite?
@OP I Got laid off yesterday along with 95% of the hierarchy from Sr Director downwards. I worked in one of the products bringing consistent recurring revenue for OT. They even fired the Sr product manager. Only left enough for the product to function in maintenance mode. I'd say the main round of layoffs are done for this quarter and unfortunately for me my BU was the one selected. If the rumors are true there's another massive round of layoffs coming in June-July.
There's a few in EMEA from very hard workers. Despicable
Anyone who didn’t read Marks book was let go. Sorry
@ah you’re the next useless person to go.
Management will be gutted later this week but not the VPs and above.
I am sure all the hard working people will be impacted but not the useless Svps , vps, senior directors and directors who add 0 value to opentext. That is what they did last time also .
just saw someone who has worked for 18+ years being let go today
it does not feel real, but it is real
if you search in linkedin for #opentowork opentext, there have been a few layoff, I see one in Colorado, one in Utah and one in NYC...
