I understand it's a business decision. What makes me furious is that they recently hired someone for double my pay for my role as a contractor in Hyderabad. Whats worse is that I interviewed that person a year ago and he knew nothing of any technology, I even flagged that the profile could be a fabricated one.

@pw absolutely no every vowel 36 letter name at my workplace. I tell them thank you come again
@se GCC, Capgemi doesn't matter. indians read scripts and if its no scripted drop the call. Weird I haven't got an spam calls since war in Iran, India etc.
The vast majority of GCC resources do little to no work, never online, argumentative, while expecting continuous awards and promotion. Meanwhile other regions are working twice as much for 2% raises. The executives who never held GCC accountable has destroyed the company's culture and the company itself. The GCC layoff is too little, too late. There, I said it.
Someone called it out back in November

@OP every laid off job is moving to contractors from Hyderabad or contracting companies with links to Hyderabad. dont fret. job market is turning positive. find another better paying job. dont get attached to the company.
@bz I think @OP is highlighting the corruption.
Moving jobs offshore is a cost cutting decision, whereas what @OP highlighted here is opposite of that, most definitely under the desk dealing of Neustar management. From where I sit in the org I wouldn't be surprised if CC and V are part of this shady practice.
@bz now
Congrats. You’re not experiencing the same thing us US folks have to deal with losing our jobs for an offshore resource.
