Anyone else having issues working with the VP of Medicaid Marketing around timelines and execution? Feels like constant delays, wasted budget, and no clear direction. Lots of talk in meetings but when the time comes …nothing actually moves…and later we hear it couldn’t even be done. Starting to wonder if marketing is being phased out again with how little progress there’s been. Seeing this anywhere else?

It’s so dysfunctional . The really big money making plans are being su-ked dry for every cent they are making, while at the same time being stripped of just about every piece of vital equipment, and marketing materials to do the job .
It’s like the hunger games for marketing materials. There’s no brochures being ordered .. not enough to go around for sure .
In NY for example, they have such low budgets, NYC basically grabs everything and the rest of the state gets nothing … NYC teams have all kinds of branded marketing give aways available and you can see them blasted all over social media while upstate and western NY marketing teams have to go to the dollar store to get barely not enough materials for the tables and then expense them for reimbursement . @sd 😳🤯
Have you tried going up the chain? Our working with corporate marketing and that departments leadership has been great but I’m not with Medicaid. Maybe have more luck going around?
that team is always under investigation from hr too
@cf any idea why turnover is so bad?
Same experience for our plan. Will be separating from Medicaid marketing next year. Can’t deal with the frustration and headache. The VP is nice but operates in chaos. Regretful for working with them again for media.
@OP Not surprised. That team has a ridiculous churn on staff. All the good ones have left. My advice for any local team would be to operate on your own and not depend on the corporate team.
