Thread regarding Cigna layoffs

@ag There is a JE calendar for 2026 that shows it skips March but picks up again in April through the rest of year. I’m sure they’re just smaller than what we’ve experienced in Jan/Feb but there will be more this year.

There’s another round this Thursday.
The following Wednesday, DC will tell us all is well and that we’re now poised to execute the Lead To One strategy.

Then they’ll lay off more of us in the summer.

@a1

The last of it for February, 2026. 100% there will be additional layoffs between then and year end.

Layoffs will continue through the rest of the year with another big event prior to the summer and another one in the fall. Go look at the internal job board and you will notice just as many job postings in India as the US.

Layoffs are not done. If you are urgently writing instructions for the work that you do and training offshore people, you are in scope for being layed off. You are training your replacement.
Offshore people, specifically HIH are much cheaper labor and that is all that matters to the shareholders at this time.
Don’t forget to keep that smile on your face. We’re all one ‘big happy family’ after all.
