Thread regarding Nike Inc. layoffs

ETW End-of-Contract

I just learned that my contract won't be renewed. I'm really bummed...I haven't even been at Nike that long. It is truly a great place to be...hopefully I can pivot or come back. I can tell that even the FTEs in my group are nervous that they are next. Anyway...just thought I would post here to give people a heads-up that budget conversations seem like they are happening, and affecting at least some people.

@cv I've seen ETW's not given renewal and then panic rehired a month later, for years in a row now. If that says anything about how shortsighted Nike's cost savings efforts are.

Just make sure you train your ITC replacement.

In general this is a yearly thing also related to cutting budgets before Fiscal year end. Clearly next level version in 2026 but a much, much smaller version of cutting ETW’s happened every year.

Sorry to hear it @OP and others affected.

They have been quietly slashing eyes for a while by not renewing, really unfortunate.

No etw renewals. We were told if we need etws we might be able to get them in itc.

Sorry for the situation. Etws likely won’t be renewed. Nike needs to find a massive cost savings to pay for the tariff margin downside. In case you weren’t listening to the earnings call the cfo said one billion dollar impact to earnings.
