My manager says she hasn't heard anything definitive about more layoffs. The rumors are flying though. This uncertainty is worse than knowing for sure.

Just FYI, managers know about lay-offs at least 45 days before they tell you. My former dept Director let that slip.
@OP If you are on the left coast possibly March. They are not going to bother with those annual reviews for increases if they are about to let a good number go. State health Plan is undergoing big big changes. Some will go into effect in the Fall and some in 2027. More jobs will be offshored or as many as they are able as the laws allow.
May. The cycle runs on a quarterly basis There was just one in February, and next one is in May. Justifications will be due soon…the deadline may have even passed already. It’s all very predictable if you pay attention.

When are we suppose to get raises? My team rolled out goals for 2026 now yet they are silent about when we should get our annual raise.
@ed Excellent point and makes too much sense. It is nice to see someone post something here that is common sense and not divisive.
If there is another wave it would happen soon...yearly increases about to come...they wouldn't give u a increase then let you go.
I don't know anything but I have a feeling there will be layoffs this month. The dust has settled with the earnings...and it just does not look promising for the rest of 2026.
Agreed. Nothing worse, but then again, I know a lot of employees who have been on edge indefinitely since that PR disaster with the secret layoff back in September 2023 just waiting for the axe to drop at any moment every single day. Even after they tried to save face in that town hall with an abysmal 30 second "we didn't want you to find out this way" they still made people wait 2 weeks to know if they were on that RIF list. No one is safe and anyone that thinks they are is just fooling themselves and will be blindsided.
