Bye Bye STL
It was confirmed 50,000 sq foot office at Class A building (very very high end). About 100 employees moving per Barry Sommers statement in Bloomberg news.
@db plus, I'm pretty sure it's not 50k sf and 100 people. It's more like 20.
I heard they were moving into the Jacksonville office.
@db it's for their own tax benefits and egos.
@bv+1kfe83vdr wrong, or maybe just arguing semantics. Two things:
WIM is synonymous with WFA… they are not separate entities. And the head of WIM is relocating to Palm Beach, along with other WIM execs, which effectively makes Palm Beach the new de facto WIM HQ. Not sure if the HQ of WIM/WFA is actually changing formally, or if it even matters on paper (like SF is the HQ of WFC on paper, but the de facto HQ has been NYC for the past several years).
Private Wealth is not “moving” to Palm Beach either. The announcement to employees was buried in an article about Private Wealth and claims that the rationale for the execs going to Palm Beach is to “deepen our presence and attract high net worth clients in the Palm Beach market” which seems like quite a stretch.
They may as well move to the Falkland Islands. They can herd sheep better than assets. If that.
STL is not WIM HQ, its WFA HQ, and only Wealth/Private Banking is moving to FL, get your facts straight.
@a6 the message it sends is: you couldn't possibly afford a decent standard of living within a reasonable commute so we'll spare you.

The head of WIM and his wife moved their main home to Palm Beach county last month.
The Sharts doesn't want to get a "does not meet" for his in office expectations report
Will there be a new cash vault set up there as well, given the volume of bribes top clients will be needing to deliver to Mar a Lago?
I wonder what their moving packages are like? Probably huge!
They kept that little bit of news buried in a story on teamworks.
Oh look, yet another fake hub for the special people to use.
Only 100 employees, mainly top WIM Executives moving there. What kind of message does that send to the rest of the lowly peasants in WIM?
STL is not closing if you're in WIM
I kept warning people in previous posts that STL was closing down. Nobody would listen to me.
