Thread regarding Open Text Corp. layoffs

Spending on Fire - no one watching or cares??

There are many, many fun and frolicky events taking place and planned for January and February, sponsored by senior leaders, who have zero concern about spending money. Pretend meetings with special team building events costing hundreds of thousands of dollars. Can the Board know? Company is crying poor mouth and yet leaders seem to have no concern dropping company money on ski chalets and wine tasting.

@ab Hope springs eternal. I cannot wait for there to be an OT grave upon which I may dance a merry jig.

Have you seen the ITSM promotional video of Shannon n Lise. They say they improved 70% performance.

When ever I have a ticket for IT, it is taking for ever to get resolved. Few of my customers complain their support lead time is horribly slow.

I heard IT fired many from support and operations. Now obviously they can spend more to show we are good company , as we all know on this AI race , OT will doom in 2 years

@OP
I totally agree!
The sad part about this is..
Open Text Leadership has always spent like drunken sailors for their execs and other 'chosen elite', including 'jetting around' in their private jets almost daily and the absurd amount of weekly F2F large meetings by dozens traveling in from points around the globe that could have easily been done virtually.
This is what got them into the situation they are in right now. They will then look to the bottom rungs of the org chart to ID the next round of layoffs.
Add to that their brand recognition is in the toilet..and they were stupid enough to take some of the 'known' brands they acquired and rebrand them with the (totally unrecognizable) "OT" brands.
Arrogance got them here and arrogance will bury this company...perhaps thats what the Jan/Feb 2026 meetings are about..to plan the OT funeral.

Cares. Lay off half a dozen minions, pay for a ski chalet vacation. Wine tasting only costs a couple more minions. Priorities man, ya got to have priorities. The rich lifestyle ain't going to pay for itself. Minions are easily replaceable anyway.

/sarcasm, if that wasn't obvious
