So why am I being told to turn in any Verizon gear like branded cloths that were given to me.This seems wrong .They said you can dispose of or turn it in.But we are not supposed to be wearing it after our departure from the company.Seems oddly childish

@OP Because you can’t spell simple words like clothes.
I wouldn't give it back to them and I sure as heck wouldn't wear it. Maybe rags?
Use to dress a scare crow, snowman, effigy of new ceo, be creative
Turning in clothes or disposal became policy after a January 6th rioter was spotted wearing a VZ shirt. After investigation it was determined it was not an employee but suspected to have been purchased at a Thrift Store or similar circumstance.
Almost 30 posts, you'd almost think this was an important topic
BTW, who gives a rats a*s about the Infomanager Guidelines??!
I wanted to donate them to either Goodwill or the Salvation Army, to help people down on their luck during this Yuletide Season, and the season of our collective offering of Thanksgiving for our national bounty and abundance, but then I figured, why not cut out the middleman and hand those coats directly to the laid off.
I used old AT&T uniforms for yard work and painting chores. Thrown out when worn out.
Or else what ? GFY VZ .
I had to take off all my clothes on my last day and walk to my car au naturel, cardboard box with all of my desk belongings in hand.
(at least that's what I thought they had wanted, but I misunderstood)
I will burn them. keeping them will be a bad thing. Or you can donate to homeless people. Make it useful
@b3, The Shadow-Stalker
@b3, thanks Dad, but stop shadowing me on the Internet.
@as happy to hear you spend your nights behind Home Depots keeping homeless guys warm. Keep it up!
"Who on earth would want you impersonate a Verizon employee???" -- @aw
Management?
But we are not supposed to be wearing it after our departure from the company.
You sound like a freed slave who wants to keep wearing his chains.
Why do you care to remain a continuing billboard?
@av seriously it’s so weird. Who on earth would want you impersonate a Verizon employee???
@ak I would never, ever want to impersonate a VZ employee. I was actually embarrassed to tell people I worked for VZ because they would almost always have a complaint about the network, pricing, customer service etc.
I would rather give all my VZ branded merch to union reps so they can easily sneak around VZ work locations to recruit more. I think that's exactly what I will do!
I gave a super warm winter coat that was brand new and covered in company logo’s to a homeless guy that lives behind the local Home Depot. He was happy to have a warm coat with an attached hood.
F'em. I gave all of mine to Goodwill & Salvation Army!!
Not to be rude but that is company policy due to people getting old uniforms and impersonating Verizon employees. Give them back to your supervisor or cut the Verizon logos out and dispose of. You can read the uniform guidelines in infomanager
If you were a hot female model rocking the Verizon bling I doubt they'd have any issues with you holding onto your wardrobe! :)
Give it back we dont need bad impersonators you guys messed up already which is why u got the boot we dont need anymore bad press. We just flushed the toilet on 15000 cheerleaders I mean v teamers trying to get this stock to 60 a share lets move forward excelsior
I can understand turning in your Corporate ID badge or your FIOS CATV decoder box! :)
So ya apparently some areas maybe some directors are possibly taking it maybe upon themselves to state this to some .I believe it’s more of a cover your butt thing for them .Don't really know if this was a directive from above but I am sure it would be kinda like an association thing like if your do something wrong while wearing their logo by association or hen you don’t even work there.Just give it the poor
Who is telling you this and how else can I wear my old Verizon swag with an X through it when I go to protests 😆
Mine will now be used as scrub rags!
Way to kick you when you’re already down. This company is awful!
so, where will I turn it in? or do I need to Goodwill or any thrift store?
@OP If true, ignore. That's ridiculous. Or you could tell them "I wasn't planning to wear any of it anymore. My personal standards won't allow me to be associated with Verizon in any way going forward. Which is why I'm also porting all my lines to Tmo."
I took mine to the local homeless shelter. I chose to help those in need instead of turning in to be thrown away.
Nonsense.
That’s a really weird thing to request.
