Does anyone know what’s going on? I have a feeling there’ll be even more layoffs at the end of 2025 or early 2026. Also, what do you think of the new CEO?

Rumor is North Cove CEO walks fired employees out with 2 armed guards - real classy stuff. Why this place wasn't unionized decades ago is beyond me.
That’s crazy!!!! I’ve heard that the union effort is being used to push for the North Cove plant’s closure. Several current employees are already in discussions and will be presenting their case to Baxter very soon. The company has gone downhill over the past few years, especially the North Cove facility. It will become very clear, very soon, who truly stands where. This is WAY overdue!!!!
Baxter North Cove isn’t laying people off—they’re firing a lot of employees. It doesn’t matter what position you’re in; they’re cutting jobs aggressively and doing it without any care. Everyone there has always known they’re just a number and that the company doesn’t care about employees or their families, but the way this is being handled is damaging the company’s reputation even more. Ironically, the people who were let go are doing better than the ones who stayed. By the time the plant closes, there won’t be many jobs left in the area. The new CEO is completely out of touch.
As an employee for over 20 years at one of the manufacturing sites it sad to see the current state of the company. I hope it turns around but I have to admit it doesn’t look promising.
@OP For sure going to be layoffs. Stock is tanking and free cash flow is too. Recently they started shifting work over to BRD from US employees. New CEO seems alright has a good track record but don't have much faith he'll be able to turn this around
