Did anyone hear anything about planned layoffs for the people joining from TSYS?

@b0 when you say it will be us getting cut what do you mean I just started at TSYS 1/21/ 2025 as Customer Service Representative I only make $15/ per hour. How much more can I get cut to.
@OP i just saw that the GP team announced more cuts. Sounds like even higher up people are getting tossed.
@b0 Yea they can't cut what doesn't exist. Read the other post from the TSYS TM here... They can't cut what they don't understand RIGHT after buying it. That would make zero sense. They know what they have already in FIS, they know where they can cut there.
It all started at TSYS with Patty Watson gutting the place and moving jobs to India. Then GP cut and cut and cut. Look over at the GPN layoff page, there are plenty of posts about layoffs, and the same under TSYS.
@f1 yep we are all getting the same message. Nothing but beautiful green grass on the other side. Gonna work out perfectly for everyone I'm sure! 😂
TSYS was not an aqui-hire situation. It was done to increase our customer base. Our manager has hinted they are gonna make a cut as soon as this completes. They dont want the increase in overhead. Its a numbers game. I am grateful it doesnt seem to be my coworkers, but I hope the new people who think they are coming to something better have a back up plan. Bad way to start the year. Seems like the people at GP are feeding there employees the same line we have been told. Its all good. Sure it is.

What is high salary for software engineers according to FIS?
@OP TSYS TM here. GP/TSYS has pretty much been gutted by Mckinsey, same as FIS it appears. Not sure how much more our operation can take and still get the work done at this point. I'm sure there will be consolidations down the road once we are integrated but I can't see many cuts happening on our end going into the merger. We've had layoffs just about every 6 months since TSYS and GP did the famous "merger of equals" as it was presented to us.
.GP squeezed about all the juice out of the lemon and y'all will get the leftover peel. 😂
I have heard my manager talking about it. She believes it will be largely the tsys folks getting cut due to their higher salary. Seems Mckinsly did the same thing over there a few months ago. Its a dollar move.
