Thread regarding Truist Bank layoffs

H-1B and offshore

Former tech worker here. I left a few years ago. I am curious, how much have they increased the number of H-1B and offshore workers in the last 3 years?

truist tech management has stated they're trying to reduce the number of tech contractors, which are mainly offshore, because they're losing a knowledge base when the tech contractors leave. so what they're doing now is hiring the offshore contractors as FTEs working remotely. I don't know if truist is doing anything to bring them to the US.

@a1+1k38zt279 is alive and well. I would love to see it halted.

@OP - H1B not supported in Trump era. Offshore has increased.
