Mental health

With so many recent conversations here, this feels important to say: Mental wellness is a vital part of overall health. If you’re struggling, reaching out for support is not only important—it’s courageous. And remember, mental health care is covered by our health insurance plan, just like physical health.

@kp I've been saying since 2019 that they need to learn how to treat their own people before going to try improve communities and teach "Care".

@OP - But yet, through the relentless and calculated gaslighting of teammates, Truist not only caused but exacerbated mental health issues among its own people. Let that sink in. An institution that preaches purpose, care, and culture, turned around and emotionally dismembered the very teammates who kept the lights on.
A previous poster said it best; executives at Truist poisoned the well, then had the audacity to hand us a cup and tell us to drink from it proudly. That cliche isn't dramatic, it's brutally accurate. Toxic decisions, misaligned priorities, empty “transformation” slogans; all delivered under the banner of “One Team.” But it wasn’t one team. It was us versus you. And you made sure of that.
You created chaos and confusion, then denied it existed. You moved goalposts, downsized departments, ignored burnout, and when the inevitable cracks showed in people’s spirits, you blamed “resilience” and “mindset”. How convenient. Shameful, all the way around.
And if there is any culpability here; if there’s even a shred of integrity left with leadership, it’s on you. You lit the match. You fanned the flames. And you watched as good people burned out. This isn’t leadership. This is cowardice wrapped in corporate PR.
Own it!!!

@kd Statements like the OP are salt in the wound. It also speaks to teammates like they are ignorant of what is best and healthy for themselves.

Arrogant, Gaslighting, and Mean spirited. The Truist Way.

The downvotes on the original post highlight a sad reality: teammates are so beaten down that they see someone trying to help as the enemy. It’s a clear sign of Stockholm syndrome at play
