The myth is that coffee badgers are productive people that don’t need to be in the office. I don’t care where you’re working if you are in fact working and not causing more work for your already overworked coworkers. The loud mouths constantly disagreeing with 3 day work-in-office policy on my team, and have also pajama badged, are actually the biggest losers on our architecture team. Everyone outside the team even knows. They have been repeatedly removed from projects for non-attendance in meetings, non-response on inquiries, and replaced in projects with their coworkers. To add insult, they and are no longer given any real work. No matter where they work, they aren’t. Hope they get caught since our manager is too incompetent to care.

@56t Don't give SLT any ideas. They will move the people to Addison or that ridiculous new tower they are building in mid-town Dallas.

@OP I see no issue with coffee badging as long as the person gets their work done. Having said that, it is the manager's responsibility for productivity and productivity does not equate to being in an office or not.

What is the point of this post? Are they getting their work done? If so, who cares.

Oh no! Coffee badging, coasting, lack of initiative? After all that BoA has done for us? The horror...

I'm glad to hear it and can only hope that these practices are increasingly adopted throughout the organization.
