Some rumors say there won’t be any at all, others say it’ll be offered across multiple orgs before layoffs hit. Can anyone actually confirm which is true?

@2mw No, don't have to accept. Just gamble on them not job eliminating in the next 10+ years.
As someone who sees how many folks a day are being let go. Let's just say it's not encouraging.
@2mv you do not have to accept it, it is a voluntary program.
I just got the notice in the e-mail this morning. Says I will get details on Jan 12.
Asking my manager about it. At 54 - (I will be 55 in May of this year) - this is not a good thing. Medically I am perm WFH so - yeah. This is going to hit hard since my wife is 14yrs older than I am.
Retirement programs are not generally offered to people under 50. 55 is a common age because of rules that allow you to access your 401k before 59.5 without penalty. This is only a guess, but they will likely keep the age and time in service requirements the same.
Is VRP still 55 and up? Or will it be available to everyone?
@db There will be layoffs in Q1 regardless. Up to 15% headcount reductions.
It was offered in 2025 to certain areas. In 2026, it is supposed to be offered to IT. If they don’t hit their numbers, there WILL be layoffs. The stock is su-king wind and the shareholders are pi---d because their yacht orders are in jeopardy.
@OP it’s definitely happening in IT at least, probably after the freeze ends (late Jan)
Also heard that if you are offered VRP and don’t accept, you may be JE, any truth to this?
