Well, since we got one of those “click to confirm we can reach you” messages today, I’m betting soon.

They are unlikely to do anything in the middle of an open survey.
@y7 Maybe you can get promoted then laid off a few weeks later like they did with a Chief Compliance Officer late last year.
@1ah yes. Maybe slightly above. 20% cut. They'll have to do a good chunk in the first half. So, any time now....
Is the rumored target headcount still 5,000?
Hoping I can be on the list for layoffs...but cr-p they will probably promote me or something stupid.
Most haven't worked at the company for that long so they only know remote work. If they had seen the office days they would see its the same place as always been which depending on your department can be great or horrible...there is no consistency there and hasn't been for a long time.
@s9 it's called cope. You do it all the time, every day, in all aspects of your life. And you are not even aware of it.
But you have it all figured out right? Everyone else is a mo--n but you are a smartie.
@nj Truth. Mo--ns on this board don't understand that very little is part of the core business.
They could probably eliminate 50% of workers from Fannie and Freddie and nothing drastic would change and things would keep on ticking. That includes my department also...basically just doing busy work.
@hg There are SO many managers, some with only two or three reports...directors with one report...VPs reporting to VPs...the middle management layer is too heavy yet they're where the most cost savings would be because of their crazy high bonuses.
@eg Yea, I'm sort of shocked also. Hopefully soon just to get most of this over with, but unless they get rid of a lot of management nothing will matter. Although even last time I was around with layoffs some people were paranoid even after they said the layoffs were over thinking they still would be let go.
I suspect any day now, frankly, I am surprised it hasn't happened already.
