Thread regarding Nike Inc. layoffs

It’s nice to see Nike suffering and losing. They had such big egos for the last few decades. This reality check is very fitting

Can’t post on LinkedIn but say it here

@11f You threw out a dozen labels and not one piece of evidence. That’s called an ad hominem, not a rebuttal. So I’ll give you another chance: what, specifically, did I say that was false?

@119 You just described yourself in a moment of projection. That’s why you deflect away from the fact that you are a entitled, narcissist, snowflake, hypocrite who seeks attention in a desperate attempt to reconcile with your hypocrisy of working for the very corporations you claim to hate. Seek professional help.

@116 You sound less like someone with an opinion and more like someone desperately seeking validation from people who don’t know you exist.

@113 Wait, so you work or worked at a multibillion dollar company against your principals? I will add hypocrite to the list of descriptions for your character, or lack there of. Either that or you’re just a troll. I am happy to add either to the list.

@112 Imagine calling strangers narcissists while rushing to defend a multibillion-dollar corporation that doesn’t know you exist. That’s almost poetic. 🤣

@111 No one is a slave. They can come and as they please, but you’ll always be an entitled, narcissist and a snowflake.

@w7 I would rather be that than a slave to that fu--ing company like you are fu--ing dou--ebag

@ex You must be one of those self-absorbed, entitled, snowflake, narcissists that Nike gave the boot to in the last few layoffs.

Remember when we thought innovation was dead because of remote employees? I didn’t think we could get lower than the bs JD spewed, but here we are. Can the boomers please exit the room?

DEI hires made cr-ppy product and stories for an audience that does not even want it. Pure self-indulgence to feel morally superior, bending over backwards for everyone’s validation and approval. Too bad IT. DOES. NOT. SELL. The faster Nike moves away from this woke B.S. philosophy, the better. Just hire sport nerds to create the best product for the best athletes.

This company is so broken…a far cry from what it used to be

@be You must be one of those Nike a--lickers who gets genuinely excited every time someone says “athlete at the center.” Peak corporate conditioning. Imagine making a slogan your entire personality.

@be they had the world’s best player and most culturally influential celebrity at the moment. We had Kim Hodashain.

@e8 You mean that stock that used to be pushing $200 and now hovers around $40? What an incredible investment. It’s starting to feel less like a turnaround story and more like an “everything is fine” corporate case study.

Nike got so obsessed over being politically correct that it forgot it had to actually design compelling product.

@ba Innovation at Nike is dead. Leadership there is obsessed with politics, self-promotion, and protecting their own “careers” instead of building great products. Too many corporate a-s-licking climbers, not enough innovators starting with that KD dou--ebag who runs a lot of these teams.

I said it before but I will say it again. After London marathon / diamond league and World Cup, I really hope they are wake up calls for every teams at Nike especially Innovation. I still remember few years ago, Adidas CEO openly called out Nike and said they will soon have many great products coming out from their innovation pipeline while our CEO was not able to clearly lay out our innovation plans for the next couple quarters during earnings call. Not his fault though because we literally have nothing.

I hope they come crashing down even harder. Once a great company but became such a pathetic, political company. Fu-k them.
