New hire, start work in June. Am I at risk?

As far as I know, my team doesn't do redundant work. I am an RCG entering at grade 5. My team works on a software tool that many architecturethane teams at Intel use, and the team does not work in the PC sector.

Good luck tomorrow your last full day @ Intel

Enjoy your last full day tomorrow folks. No more free fruits and free coffee for you after tomorrow so eat more than one fruit. It's OK. LOL Good job making Intel successful but look what Intel did to you at the end. BK and Murthy will continue to... — read more

Is it just me, or should someone's head roll for this (layoff compensation figures)showing up in a newspaper BEFORE being published on Act Hub?

From the Oregonian: "Internal documentation provided to The Oregonian/OregonLive by employees indicates that Intel expects ..." http://www.oregonlive.com/silicon-forest/index.ssf/2016/04/intel_layoffs_heres_what_emplo.html#incart_std Without sharing... — read more

VSP eligibility criteria

Anyone get a heads up or leak on the criteria for VOLUNTARY (not the much shared foil on ISP) SEPARATION? I was eligible last year (SLL4 in 2014) but passed on it, but I think the job market has improved significantly. Hopefully SSL4 in last 3 years... — read more

The VSP offer looks pretty good.

Too bad I don't qualify this time. For those who do, you should really consider it. Once that fat a__ Murthy guy takes over, you would be lucky to get half of it

Thanks good I left Intel already

Got IR this year. Had feeling that manager is picking up on every minor thing for the last few months (now i know it was done to justify IR and fill their quota), although everybody including me were working their as*es off. Did ODI just for the hack... — read more

Hiring freeze?

Just heard one of the manager talking on the phone. "Your interview is cancelled, because we are kind of on a hiring freeze. But you still can come to Portland, your hotel and car are paid for. But we won't be conducting interview".

Intel Security stuffs

From what things are looking like -- they're mostly closing the smaller offices (less than 500) -- either at the end of this year or the end of next year. Some will be able to work from home offices -- some will be offered reloc to larger sites... — read more

Intel - The culture of NO!!

Here is a list of projects that went no where because of management incompetence: Remember the big plans for going into the cloud business as a service? Intel head honcho's were scared to do this and compete with their own customers (Amazon). Big... — read more

Getting prepared for ISP at Intel

An excellent site by HP layoff victims : http://www.hpalumni.org/asap. Read it if you suspect you're on your way out. I was rated successful with L5 stock for 2015. No warning and no criticism of my work last year at all. Never been given lower stock... — read more
