New hire, start work in June. Am I at risk?
As far as I know, my team doesn't do redundant work. I am an RCG entering at grade 5. My team works on a software tool that many architecturethane teams at Intel use, and the team does not work in the PC sector.
If you are an analog engineer, don't even think about working for this company

New hire, late Nov 2015. Will I be affected by performance based layoffs?
Hi, I joined Intel around late Nov 2015. I got a sucessful + no stock (SSL 5?). I was told by my manager that for Grade 6 people who have less than 3 months no stocks is normal. I saw the same thing on circuit. Based on the slides posted here will I... — read more

The VSP offer looks pretty good.
Too bad I don't qualify this time. For those who do, you should really consider it. Once that fat a__ Murthy guy takes over, you would be lucky to get half of it

Say you end up staying at Intel for whatever reason. Will you try to look for employment elsewhere? Is Intel a place you can trust?
If you trust the company, why? if you don't trust the company, where else would you go? Or would you stay and hang in there?
Thanks good I left Intel already

Did Intel forget to submit the required WARN Act notice?
I have looked on both the California and Oregon department of labor sites and could not find any notices from Intel. Are they breaking federal law by not notifying the states that there will be layoffs?
Hiring freeze?
Just heard one of the manager talking on the phone. "Your interview is cancelled, because we are kind of on a hiring freeze. But you still can come to Portland, your hotel and car are paid for. But we won't be conducting interview".
You know why Intel always fails when it tries to build out its wireless business?
