Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

Was made manager this year after many year as engineer. Got stock 4 for the first time ever. Should I start job search outside of Intel?

I have many friends in other group that would hire me as engineer (before chaos started). Maybe that is not option any more?

There are a lot of opportunities outside Intel. It is time to run and never come back. This company is not the same .

Why would you want to come back to the sh--hole? Are you so hopelessly enslaved?

I know it is small comfort but you are not the only one.

well, got lots of O, E as engineer, but as brand new manager, I'm reset... Both S this year and last, so guess I am out. Wishing I can come back as Engineer, and not get "no rehire".

Depends if you got E or O last year.

Yeah, one SSL4 this year would be sufficient reason to kick you out unless EE or O this year or last year as per the leaked info..

Lulz. Giving promos out just before everyone gets laid off. How do you know it was real promo or just token promo before you get let go? Just bad as getting an ssl1 at site that gets shuts down.
