The board has not discussed a key indicator called profit per capita. The 12K people, making total Intel population about 95K, will bring Intel to the bottom of the high tech company distribution. Statisticians will tell you they want to be "average"... — read more

12k in document, is that world wide or usa only
Early posts showed about 12k people on the list in the large document we got. Is that only people in USA? How many from different Geos, India, Isreal, Ireland, Canada, Costa Rica, etc... What is the total VSP/ISP/ERP that was given out world wide?... — read more
Transfers to Oregon
Does any know of any recent NM transfers to OR got let go?
Let's say that today's VSP's become tomorrow's ISP's
What are the odds that the no-rehire clause is attached to them? Assume that all non-taken VSP's convert to ISP's. I'd like to think that they'd rehire these people like they would with people who took the VSP. But they do seem to be warning very... — read more
Eligibility for unemployment benefits for ISPs in Arizona: http://www.nolo.com/legal-encyclopedia/collecting-unemployment-benefits-arizona.html.
VSPs do not seem eligible. You can receive between $126 to $240 per week for at most 26 weeks. I would guess most Intel ISPs would fall closer to the $240. And you still have to pay taxes.
ISP/VSP and ERP wear it in pride
Maybe all those who have taken the VSP/ERP (obvious the ISP since they had no choice) outside of work should wear a small blue arm band on the left. A show of solidarity. Of knowing who we are and can come up to each other and discuss our stories and... — read more
Assuming VSP is indiscriminate like death how many managers got VSP?
And/or VPs Of course the VPs just make sure they get promoted every few years
About 2000 isp/vsp d in india..
Dont hate indians now...all in same boat
Do not accept VSP
Don't give into the threat of next package not being as good. You will get 6-9 months of paychecks to make up for any decrease in severance for the next round of layoffs.
ISP/VSP/ERP if you have Intel shares what are you doing with them.
Getting out now? Waiting for a better price like 32-34? Keep them and get the dividends? Sell some and diversify the portfolio?
Grand scheme of things
Intel isn't that significant. Its a small piece of reality that we must realize good things comes to an end, but remember there is a purpose and a reason for everything, so whatever is brought forth to you one must say "all praise is to God and to... — read more

If data center is projected cash cow for company, perhaps this is route Intel should take? Anybody familiar with any rumors about BK and DB?
Some very handy TLA's for Intel, please add your own! TLA=Two Letter Acronym, Three Letter Acronym.
BK, BOD, MCM and HR can all SMD, ES&D. Intel can shove the POS VSP where the sun doesn't shine,

Does too much time in grade really lead to ISP or VSP?
I mean, for those who got ISP'd for SSL4/5, was time-in-grade officially cited as the reason? We all pretty much assume that time in grade leads to VSP; however, we don't quite know what the real consequence of getting VSP is yet, perhaps none since... — read more
