Ok.. I'm stupid

and old. But I can understand the benefits of carrying an phone to call, enjoy music and voice my dissatisfaction in thelayoff.com. Can someone tell me why I might want to connect my toaster, wheel chair and pill boxes to the internet in the future?

Layoffs are business driven, nothing personal

But when it's done in such ruthless manner, how can the company expect the remaining employees to have passion about their jobs? How can they innovate and excel in such brutal working environment?
