Corporate Merit Increases

Struggling to make ends meet with that 2.5% merit increase despite inflation? Our leaders really took care of themselves. DA and AM got a 5% increase and GL an 11.5%. Must be good to work for corporate. All in the proxy.

How would you improve Honeywell?

I see so many of you complaining about the management and how they run the company but I never see any concrete examples of what could be done to improve things. Do tell me, what is it in the current economic climate and with the job market the way... — read more

Unsupportive management

Whenever I expect support from the manager, I become reassured that I will not get it and that I am left here on my own. He is almost always unavailable to me. Perhaps it's just me, perhaps I was expecting more than I can get at HW?

Another way in which leadership lacks the vision

With 40+ years in aerospace, what I see is history repeating itself. Nearly every 10-12 years there has been a huge turnover of personnel, either due to the graying workforce, layoffs, or downturn in business caused by external events - e.g., end of... — read more

Off balance

When I first applied here, I had no idea that I wouldn't have any work life balance here. Perhaps others knew that this is one of those companies that lacks that balance? While working at HW, I involuntarily turned into one of those people whose... — read more

UOP - still going weak

It's been exactly 1 year since we all got fired from UOP and the office closed. Since then, all people found jobs before the last day and haven't heard many complaints. All at equal or better conditions. Some people still in the business are now on... — read more

No Payday today!

What the H*ll is going on at Honeyhell?? Monday this week, new hires and folks at different worksites were deactivated, now today there's no money in peoples bank accounts!

Bad VOE and more training?

It seems that since the VOE survey, that I have been assigned much more training. Particularly the Accelerator stuff. It seems to me that the Accelerator stuff is merely Honeywell propaganda. I also see an increase in "Safety" training that has... — read more

Employee benefits

I agree with those who think that the benefits here will not improve. At least not in the near future. I try not to worry in advance, but what worries me a little is the possibility of them getting worse. I hope that doesn't happen. That would... — read more

Glendale site, anyone know

Anyone hear anything about the Glendale site? People are leaving left and right (retiring, quitting, let go) but few are being hired to replace them. There was a rumor that the site was to be relocated to Puerto Rico but I haven't heard anymore... — read more

Training replacements

Maybe I’m just paranoid because I’m afraid of losing my job, but ironically, I don’t like the fact that my knowledge has suddenly become important here. Honeywell wants me to share the details and show the new hire everything I do. There’s a good... — read more

I think my boss was forced to be a jerk.

My manager was a good guy, then things changed. He knew I was planning to retire at age 62 in a year. After 34 years of good reviews, I was suddenly on a PIP. Perhaps my boss was helping me by setting up a layoff situation (Severance! ... — read more

Micromanagement is out of control

Until about six months ago I was able to do my job normally. Now, my every move is monitored and I get told to do (and how to do) things I've been doing for years with no interference. What the he-l is going on here? If this is not the norm, how... — read more

Lead and Principals

How difficult is it to get promoted to lead from senior and from lead to principal engineer. Does Honeywell pay lead and principal engineers on par compared to other companies? I don't see too many principal or fellow positions open to apply.

Returning from overseas trip…

I returned from overseas on a trip related to HTS This can be summed up thus: Other than the scams about real capabilities.harassment, and diarrhea, it's not bad.

More stressful and more stagnant than ever?

Looking back on the last few years here, I think I made a big mistake of not leaving earlier. In fact, it used to be different here, but now there is very little room to move up, and the stress is astronomical. The only thing I'm happy with is that... — read more

I keep applying, but I’m disappointed

Honeywell is lucky that some of us can’t leave as fast as we want to. I thought I would find a job much faster, so I'm a little disappointed that I'll have to be here for a while. How long did it take others to find another job?

Re-hiring the unvaxed

Rumor has it that some people who were let go for not being vaccinated have been re-hired. Any truth to this? Were they required to get vaxed or is Honeywell done with that non-sense now?

HIPAC Details

Here’s where you find out exactly how much is coerced from Honeywell employees. The “donation” amount can be used to calculate the brown-nosers’ salary (divide the amount by the max percentage they are allowed to contribute). Each donation is listed... — read more

What is HIPAC?

I see people here mention something called HIPAC. Apparently there are dues or contributions that are expected from employees for this. Is this some sort of a club? What are employees getting by paying for it?

Third Tuesday development day

Karen Mattimore scheduling a 90 minute townhall on development day exactly one week after announcing that the third Thursdays won’t have meeting so employees can focus on development is peak Honeywell.

Could it be worse?

Almost all the companies I applied to pay employees much more. Those that don't offer higher pay offer better benefits. I am so overwhelmed that neither mentally nor physically could I bear adding more to my plate. Some people think that things... — read more

Resigning with unused vacation

Does anyone know if when resigning, are you paid out your unused vacation hours in your last paycheck? HR was zero help in answering this question if you can believe it. Lol

Dog eat dog company

Honeyhell has turned into a dog eat dog company. We used to work together to get things done but now the competitiveness between employees has reached new and ridiculous levels. People are going out of their way to make sure you don't succeed in what... — read more

Is there a way to improve communication at HON?

There are so many unnecessary layers to navigate for no good reason and it's getting tiresome. Things would run so much smoother if we had better and more streamlined channels of communication throughout the company. Not to mention, that would show... — read more

Remote-friendly with better benefits

I'm trying to get out of here and find a job in a company where I could work remotely and which has better health insurance. Where are all those who say there are many such companies? So far I haven't been able to get such an offer. Pretty much... — read more
