Olathe / Cedar Creek, Kansas All Hands Recap

I'm sure I missed a few, but here is a recap of the highlights: Employee Appreciation Day - "I work for you", so you should really appreciate that bite size chocolate candy bar & throwaway mini led flashlight! I realize that it only cost us $2 a... — read more

Boeing closing defense lines

Lot of chatter about boeing closing major defense production Ines like the F18. How will this impact honeywell?

I am so tired of incompetence being rewarded

People are being promoted because their friends made sure it happened. Not just that, people who are being hired have no idea what they're doing, and yet they stay employed. There's no reason for someone to stay in a position they're not qualified... — read more

Next round of IGS layoffs?

There is very limited work coming in at IGS. There will soon be too many engineers in the project engineering teams and not much work. Anyone has any info on next rounds?

HBT Commercial Security Europe

This week we noticed that just selling legacy technology has a negative impact. 20 great long serving employees fired in Albstadt Germany (former Novar). Thank you DA. Worst Honeywell ceo ever.

HIPAC minimum?

There’s yet another push (yawn) by senior leaders to join HIPAC. I’m doing my best to ignore it but what is the absolute minimum I can get away with? Can I commit to $0.01 per paycheck and still have it count?

Silent quitting

After all the hard work I put in last year then getting a big steamy dump on my chest from my boss, I've decided I'm silent quitting. I'm sick of being taken advantage of by this company and I'm done making the ALT rich on my back. Until I find... — read more

Stockholm Syndrome

Post Covid hire I’m starting to enjoy this place. It’s got some things that could be better but all in all it could be worse.

Merit Increase

Can't believe I only got a 4.7% increase. Leadership is completely blind to US inflation. Time to start looking at the job boards.

Competition

HON used to care much more about competition and evolving competitive advantages. I wonder if today's leadership is paying enough attention to whether the company is losing out to competitors. Thoughts?

How many of you remember enjoying your jobs?

It was such a long time ago that I nearly forgot it, but I do still remember that there were better times at HON. I'd like to think it's only HON that's changed and we can find something better elsewhere, but any company I look up on this forum seems... — read more

Does Panasonic offer a better work environment?

Although there are many who say that they would like to move to Panasonic, I am skeptical because before I got a job here and started working, I thought that HON was a much better workplace than it turned out to be.

The Next CEO

Will the next CEO come from outside and be able to change the culture back to what it once was?

Why don’t you like GK of SPS?

I was offered a promo in SPS and don’t know what to do. My peers are all one foot out the door but they are afraid to say anything other than its bad. But what does that mean? The business is bad? Morale is bad? Leadership is bad? What does bad mean... — read more

Changes to WFH Schedule

I have heard that all of Honeywell will be going to a 4/1 schedule for WFH (4 days in office). Has anyone heard anything similar?

Most of us here are just waiting for the package

Considering that the job market is not that bad I'm pretty sure that I could get another offer relatively easily, however, why leave now and miss the package..... What do you think, are the higher ups even aware that it was they who created the... — read more

Your criteria when looking for a new job?

Of course, the grass is not always greener, but rarely do I hear that someone has regretted leaving here. I don't know what your criteria are when looking for a new opportunity, but for me the stability is really important. Thinking about how I... — read more

When will we learn more about cuts?

I'm assuming we're at the point where everybody has accepted that layoffs are coming. What I'd like to know is whether anybody can make an educated guess at when it might happen? Somebody who has (unlike me) been here for a while and knows how these... — read more

HIPAC

Anyone watch the state of the union address? It's clear our political system is a mess. Our HIPAC funds are more important now than they ever have been. If you are not contributing, please do so. We need it.

SST is a mess

SST is not looking good and I fear that there will be mass layoffs in that department.

Honeywell's competitors

Have you looked at Layoff dot com comments for Honeywell's competitors? Their boards read nothing like Honeywell's, expect layoff rumors (of course). It's sad to see a once great company hit rock bottom. I'm so glad to have gotten out after 30+... — read more

We're looking at major layoffs

Let's get real. With results the way they are, we know there'll be some immediate action to try and "fix" the problem. The easiest way to do it is by cutting operating costs, which equals layoffs. The only question right now is not "will we have... — read more
