I’ve been making small errors here and there at work because I am exhausted and overworked. I am so burned out that I started noticing depression symptoms. It feels like there is no end in sight. I have endless headaches and tension in my body. But I am afraid of quitting and not being able to find another job. How do you all manage your work stress ?

Job security at honeywell is and has always been about
- favorites and "special friends"
- racist stereotypes. 15 years ago I was in the room when a specific leader lately in the news told us that Indian workers complain less, work more, and are a better value.
- quotas
If you want security I recommend
- Get a "special friend"
- Self report as a protected diversity class
- join a large team .. you don't have to place 1st.
There is no security at Honeywell based on seniority. It's about how much revenue you bring in. If you make the company more money, but are brand new, you keep your job. 1st hand experience, some new folks didn't even get furlough. All about your program and how much OT you put in.
If you're burned out that bad, just schedule calls with yourself and take a nap.
But get another job before you quit this one.
Two words: Recession Coming.
New job = last in, first out / laid off.
Job security is 1st priority in an economy like this, it will pass and great new opportunities will open up. Spend your time preparing for them. Economy will turn around soon enough, dont throw away your job security.
If Hon lays you off you will have severance & unemployment to fund your job search.
Work less. Who cares if you hit your targets or not; your raise will be the same regardless. HON expects hard work but refuses to reward it, so apply for other jobs and just do as little as possible till you find something else. Once you do, no notice quit and tell your manager to get bent.
Quiet quit , it’s the new rage.
Smoke a bowl or eat a edible will help calm ya down. Peace out
Drink…. It helps
Don't work so hard, slow down and relax. I can predict that only 2-3 on your team are working that hard. I had to pace myself which forced management to renew their expectations.
Apply for other jobs ASAP. I ended up in the hospital due to work stress. It isn’t worth it.
Find another job and get out of this joke of a company. The grass is greener on the other side.
Fear feeds fear. They intimidate you so you’ll do what you’re told. It’s all a mind game. Try to practice self care. Start applying for jobs so you realize what options you have. They need you more than you need them. You aren’t alone. Most people feel the same exact way.
Call esp take the free therapy sessions. Take some vacation. realize that your manager is putting you in this position. Do your best, but take control of your work life balance.
You may not hit your goals but those goals are unreasonable to have work life balance anyway.
Taking at least three couple of minutes long breaks (just to stretch my legs and clear my mind) works for me. After work hours, I try to disconnect my self as much as possible.
Find another job ASAP and get out of this toxic swamp of a company. In the meantime, don’t take the job so seriously to the point where it ruins your health. Do your best, but no more.
Buck up buttercup.
