Excerpt from The Street interview with Dave Cote. Link for full article is at end of excerpt. Interesting how far away from his 'legacy' he has slid. TheStreet: What would you like your legacy to be after serving as CEO of Honeywell for so long?... — read more
Ottawa RIF
Ottawa lost at least 5 today (confirmed). Possibly as many as 9. They haven't told us all who it was. Only one was voluntary.
Guess Honeywell Doesn't plan on any sales growth this year? Who's fault is that?
All while Dave Cote likely tells investors how strong the outlook is for "increased revenues". Since HON is already at the bottom of the supplier surveys of all the major aircraft companies, it appears there will be no investment into improving... — read more
Donate HON shirts to the homeless in your area
Please help the homeless by donating all the wonderful Honeywell shirts and polo shirts. I gave mine directly to less fortunate folks living in the Phoenix streets. You can also try calling a shelter. Please don't discard the shirts. Plus it is free... — read more
Looks like they're hitting the remote people in some Deer Valley COEs
Looks like a final purge of remote workers in places where there's no HON plants.
More shadowy changes to vacation policy coming.
It may not happen in 2017, but 3rd hand account from upper mgt mtgs is that "Unlimited vacations" will be limited to 3 weeks for block 5 rated employees. Only block 1 and 2 could possibly get more. Happy New Year!!!! Does anyone have any leads for... — read more
Huh?
For as big a deal they made about the RIF in Q4 (and Q3 prior), this is really anti-climactic. Not a whole lot of people being let go. It is almost as if ALT doesn't know what they are doing. :)
Friday is the day for No Voluntary RIF
I had my HON exit interview this morning and Friday is officially my last day. Also was told that the non voluntary RIF will happen on Friday, 1/6. 2 people on the team were accepted for voluntary RIF. The others will be let go on Friday. No... — read more
RIF numbers
I'm hearing one here, one there. What difference does a single contributor make? Okay 250k annual relief to a 38 Billion $$ company. I could understand a cross the board 3% RIF but this follows on the heels of 2 other RIF's. ALT, You should all be... — read more
34th St. RIFS
Today our group had one VRIF and one INVRIF. The second one makes no sense. Moral is sub-par.
Pmt meeting 1-4-16
Mandatory meeting for pmy guess a flyer was gong around about forming a union?
CLW ready for Wednesday RIF/VRIF
There are stacks of 'moving boxes' staged in the lobby of all plants.....
RIF has started in Greer.
Greer just lost 1. Funny how it's always the workers getting let go, but never managers.
Put in for your "flexible" vacation
Schedule your vacation time and send it to your boss next week after the rifs. Make sure you get an answer on why or why not. Just how does their answer fit into the new policy. Have definite plans. Make concrete plans to go on a "cruise" or a place... — read more

VRIF for Corporate Employees
Anyone hearing any rumbles for a VRIF for corporate Functional employees i.e. HR, Finance, IT. They had a recent re-org and it seems like a lot of overhead and dead weight in Corporate.
Furlough may equal unemployment. Strike back.
Speaking with several HR professionals, it was suggested that anyone who is furloughed should look into their state laws regarding unemployment. In Ohio, it was encouraged. Can you imagine how much unemployment costs would skyrocket for Honeywell if... — read more
Stop the Misery if you are hanging on by a thread. Life beyond the torture that Is Honeyhell is soo much better.

Undercover Boss
Cote should go on under cover boss or any body else that belongs to the ALT. What an ear full they would get. No guts and don't care what the real worker is going through.

How are people selected for RIF?

A Christmas Carol with Cote
Sad to say but all I can think of is Dave Cote as Scrooge. His search for that ever higher stock price at the expense of employees while grabbing more options and millions in salary seem similar. It is hard to wish him well. I remember the AiResearch... — read more
No, it's not "just 4 days"…for me, it's over a $1000 reduction in pay
And it's going to hurt me financially. I'll make do, for sure, but what is happening is I'm looking at a reduction in pay for 2017, and rather than simply reducing my salary over 26 pay period, they are taking it out on me all at once. When I hear... — read more

Sky Harbor Distribution Center is moving out in 1Q17. Leaving a GIANT empty space in the center of the 2101 bldg.
It was done for "possible future growth". Seeing the other posts about sites closing, buildings for sale, I wonder which one will wind up at Sky Harbor? Lots of tight-lipped leaders aren't letting on.
