Heald is already giving up on it's petition drive to the California Attorney General as apparently almost nobody is signing it.
Dying with Dignity
Anyone working at Heald at this moment should separate themselves from the BS and stop lying to students. Saying "I don't know" would be more fair than continuing to confuse legitimate concerns by saying Heald is not on the same boat with CCI. They... — read more
No news is... bad news?
Usually, if there's good news, we get told about it right away and it's sensationalized so we have scraps to gnaw on during the crisis. No news is never good news. Is anyone hearing anything?
Flyers are still all over campus for the CalGrant Heald Workshop, can someone tell me why?
This is misleading, just like the employees telling students as recent as TODAY that their is a buyer for Heald and that Heald is totally separate from CCI, so sign up for more debt. Really, when is the dump closing?
Student trying to hang on!
Classes r half empty and staff won't give any info about what is going on. Wanna drop, but i don't know what to do. The PD told me to stay for my AA 2 more terms, but will Heald stay open????????????????? Help! Someone give me answers!!!!!!
The reason the AG will NOT release new buyer of lawsuit restriction obligation...
Because if they did Corinthian Would be able to sue the AG for loss of $$$ of potential previous buyers who backed out because of this stipulation.
Talks of lowering salaries again
There are talks of lowering salaries again for only Heald employees to make finances look better for CSAC and any potential buyer
BUYER BEWARE
Any buyer of Heald WILL assume all current challenges AND lawsuits. If you think you would be Heald's knight in shining armor, then I hope your armor is made of the most valuable gold because only you will have to pay for it.
Students go to the ALS website for questions about your rights! Get EVERYTHING in writing and sign nothing Heald gives you!

CCI should pay for a buyer
If Heald or CCI really cared for the future of the institution or students, then they should take ANY and ALL funds that they have left and GIVE it to the buyer. I have seen companies offer $$$ to potential buyers to take the institutions out from... — read more
Is anyone else watching the admissions people at Heald lie to their prospects?
They are still doing campus tours, telling people that Heald has 100% job placement and that they can even get a part time job with Heald by just signing up. One prospect was smart enough to ask about what was going on in the news and he was told... — read more
What Are the Odds?
We'll have a buyer in place before...the $100 million is due on March 30th...the correct paperwork is given to CSAC...Corinthian files bankruptcy...
What does the petition say
We know that Heald is great. But what are we asking the AG for? more time? Release Heald and buyer from lawsuit obligation?
Just a head's up to short sellers
of CCI claiming Heald will close. The SEC knows that there is a buyer for Heald, so stop the antics. I would buy rather than sell COCO since the Heald sale will boost value (the envelope! there are buyers...) Padlocking the doors? Please...you sound... — read more

Did Heald disclose that there was a buyer during the hearing? I didn't catch that....
According to the Wall Street journal "During a hearing Friday, Heald disputed that there was no buyer for its schools and said it provided the commission with nonpublic information about the status of its sale."

Heald college shutting down.
It's over for Heald. Most likely by a simple padlocking of the doors. The best case although unlikely at this point is a teach out. Heald is so broke right now that it might have problems simply coming up with the money to pay for the audit. In fact... — read more
Enough with the Shenanigans....
CLOSE HEALD DOWN ALREADY. IT'S NOT HEALD ANYMORE, JUST A NAME. ITS CCI
Just a little confused.
Heald was purchased by CCI. So why do a lot of the posts keep referring to comments like they are 2 separate companies. Have I missed something in the buyout? I don't understand the separate coming mentality. I thought Heald and CCI were one. Just... — read more
I'm just Mad at this point at Heald
I'm reading the official notice of the CSAC and it reads "On February 5, 2015, Heald College notified the Commission it would not be able to provide that audited financial statement." Our college knew we had to turn in financials by end of December... — read more
Heald College purposely did not provide financial documents so to wait for January start
I'm sorry. But Heald was playing chicken with providing financial statements. We knew if we submitted them in December, then our financials would have looked weak. January is one our largest starts, which is why we played dumb. We did this to buy us... — read more
From what we can see
the good guys won. Heald fought for our students and we can continue to get them the education they deserve. No army of bureaucrats was going to get in the way of education for those who cannot take the traditional route to a degree and social class... — read more

Another layoff to show financial health
Heald is doing another layoff to play with the numbers for financials
Canada took responsibility and closed the 14 campuses...
The state of California should do the same. They are fully aware of what Canada did. And doing anything less would make them look weak. They have both the students and Kamala Harris's interest at hand
Who watched the live stream of the Commission hearing on Heald?
I only caught the end
Heald continues to play the "victim" card.
Heald management and lawyers need to quit playing the victim and own up to the fact that they have known since last August that they were on CSAC's radar. Eeva playing the "Heald financials don't exist" card is pathetic. The lawyer stating that "we... — read more
How come the management at Heald and CCI never seem to know what's going on?
You would think CCI would know Canada might close it schools, or Heald would know it would lose its Cal Grants? Are Jack and Eeva that incompetent?
Heald Executive Timing Response from CSAC meeting will be telling....
If Eeva sends an email today, we have some favorable outcomes. If we receive an email on a Monday, expect not so favorable outcomes (potential closure talks)
Stay Bonus
Will there be a stay bonus when we go into close out mode?
Now that's leadership!

EDMC as a possibility?
Take a look at the movement in EDMC today. They would be an interesting lowball buyer for Heald in CA as they need a CA footprint and would be in a position to leverage some of their DOE relationships to get CA AG to back off a bit and facilitate a... — read more

So Canada is shut down. Are we next?
It's getting scary now. The only thing left to do is to try to keep forcing knowledge into their small little brains and look for a new job.
Canada is done. Only California left now.
