I sure hope this person is right re: layoffs

Everyone needs to calm down. (And no, I am not an executive, lol).

It's not like HPE and Juniper started talking a month before the acquisition announcement in January. With the amount of cash on the line (14bn), I would assume this has been in talks over the past year or two.

If you need a reference, look at Aruba. They were bought nine years ago for 3 billion and still have Aruba in their name. We were bought for 4x that. They aren't going to ki-l the golden goose, and let's face it, even after the sale, we will still be the golden goose. Just look at the trend is all I am saying.

Their salespeople don't know our stuff, nor do we know theirs. Their SEs don't know our stuff, nor do we know theirs (or even care to). I know companies that 'merged' together, and it took them at least five years to start eliminating departments and org changes.

Everyone needs to chill TF out. Will some fat-trimming happen? Sure. Are they going to blow away Juniper? #ell no. Stop reading this BS on here. It's so contradicting that it's not even funny. If you look at previous stuff from in the spring, "big layoffs in May!" or "Big layoffs in June - just watch!", then went into July and nothing.

Don't cause unnecessary anxiety when no one knows what tomorrow brings. We have enough anxiety as it is.

Anxiety led me to scroll through our board to see if there’s any news. I came across this in replies, and a. It makes sense, and b. I hope they are right. Found here: @yue+1uPUt7Ic.

Let’s use this page as an advantage

So here we go again, people on here posting bull$hit that doesn't pertain to helpful or even vaguely useful information. Rumors of layoffs, local/state/federal government crackdowns or attempts to reel in the company on their $hitty business practices or closing loopholes they’ve been using for years, stories about the company finances/stock market affecting the company, local locations issues, making fun of the latest straightUP story, things of that nature that could be considered useful to the employees that still call this flaming cruise ship their job should be at the top of everyone’s concern and postings. Anyone looking at the NS page to see what kind of stuff their company is currently pulling? Take a gander and see does it pertain to us, probably not but don’t put anything the other class ones are doing off the table if it will give this current group in the glass palace more ways to save money. Calling for a wildcat strike on a website everyone has access to isn’t going to work especially when all railroaders know they’re not going to last longer then a few mins. I get it people are fed up with the inactivity the unions are currently deadlocked in because #ell none of them have seen this $hit before either, and majority didn’t listen and learn from the old heads that had those union positions before them that had some sort of experience with fighting anything the company tried so that knowledge is lost. The agreement employees need to stop the bull$hit fighting each other and try to work together like it’s been said time and time again, yea I realize it’s not us against all the crystal palace employees but it is us against the stUPidty that has started to creep into the day to day we deal with started by the ones that get to use the private jets and are currently doing press tours to say we’re doing great. I’m not management either. I am wondering what we are gaining by loading this thing up with the stuff that doesn’t matter. Let’s try once again to get back to using this to help and not hinder us in the end
