I’ve heard C&E org and maybe some DEG DT’s.

No News outlets have reported on this Layoff..
Very interesting. Wonder how long it’ll take.
The cuts will be never ending, it's a product of the culture
Empire Building on castles made of sand with no results. Acquisitions on castles made of sand with poor results ending with ten's of billions in losses. Once wireless starts eroding it is over. The stock price reflects it is over. Sears Roebuck.
If they remove Work From Home
Senior Management can't manage. They want butts in the seats. I don't even know where to report to at this point. I was in Atlanta but moved to the Florida Coast over 2 years ago. I felt like Andy Dufrane slithering out of that sewage pipe into the... — read more

Why do you think you would be better off if more people got cut?
I'm curious what makes people think that many more should be cut. Any thoughts on that? Maybe they think that their job would be safer or that this would be a better workplace if the company were to cut more people. Anyway, that sounds very... — read more
FirstNet Marketing gone, US sales on going, Cyber going, International Sales next...
Cuts happening at break next speed. All will be settled for 2024. But a long and painful road ahead for anyone left.
layoffs
Does a state help if you are a victim of layoffs by retraining in jobs that are in high demand?
wfh
Work from home people need to get laid off first. They don't care about our company.
A lot of people got the layoff call last Friday.
Half of the overbuild group were let go in my area, also several engineers and none were voluntarily. Contractors can only absorb so many with more layoffs to come this summer, just don’t know which group(s) yet.
at&t cybersecurity may be sold

There is no way to hide
Think of the layoffs in terms of the German V2 rockets in Gravity's Rainbow: Everyone knows they are launched and aimed at London, but nobody knows for certain where they will fall or what buildings they will hit. It's the same with layoffs at T... — read more
There are still those who should be laid off
Unfortunately, those are the same people who survive every single round of layoffs despite their incompetence and laziness. I'm starting to think that the only way to have job security at T is to learn how to kiss the right butts. It doesn't matter... — read more
Taking advantage of our fear of losing our jobs
I'm tired of picking up the slack for colleagues who are no longer here. It is very obvious that the managers make maximum use of our fear of being left without a source of income. More is expected of me than ever, I just wonder if they know when... — read more
My boss thinks someone else manages me, he is out
To lunch. This has been going on for 10 months and I have simply been collecting checks. I have not heard from my direct boss in over 6 months. No phone,no email, no texts nothing. It's as if I don't exist to him. Is this common at ATT with other... — read more
Surplus Vehicles
You know sh*t is getting real when the automotive department has a meeting about all the surplus vehicles happening this year.
This round of layoffs should make each one consider their future.
Although I was not affected, as I look at those in my peer group who were laid off, they all are talented, very hard workers and stressed. The layoffs were NOT solely directed at underperformers. Prayers to the ones who lost their jobs. I wish you... — read more
Strategy for surviving cuts
I try to work under the radar and avoid being perceived as a troublemaker by the manager. What do you do to reduce the likelihood of ending up on the cut list, if that's even possible? What is your strategy to avoid losing your job?
Total Rewards
Anyone know when the Total Rewards letter comes out? I'm guessing this coming week
Demographics of the employees let go
Can those of you who got laid off or know someone who got the axe post their demographics (race, gender, age, education, etc.) and any other factors that may be related to why thy were chosen so we can get a sense of what they are targeting?

AT&T & CWA
It seems as though AT&T leadership is getting deeper in bed with CWA. They just laid off hundreds of temp techs only to have to rehire a couple hundred back due to a grand bargaining agreement that was made some time ago. Once again it seems as... — read more

Calculating Payouts for Unused PTO

When will the dust settle?
Stankey likes to keep the turmoil needle pegged at at&t all the time. Most employees just want the dust settled for a while. Is that too much to ask?
T is a dying company
At one time I had hope that the sinking would stop, but now it has become clear to me that this is a dying company. At the same time, I'm wondering which of the many reasons contributed to that the most.
Has your AM or L3 had an "all clear" call?
For those not impacted this round? Wondering if this is standard? Haven't heard a peep from either all day. Would have thought we'd have seen a meeting invite or an email by now (Eastern Time).
If you’re still employed by T after today..
Understand that your workload will not be light. You will have to take on the roles of those surplused, without the pay. I hope you are ready.
The Big 3 and their Sales and Marketing Spend
ATT, VZ, and TMUS spend a boatload year in and year out on acquisition cost just to add 1-3% to their Postpaid Subscriber Base with much of that being low ARPU connected devices. With TDS/USM there are 4.3M prime postpaid subscribers with $50+ ARPU's... — read more
