RTO

If you don't meet RTO completely, what happens next, layoff? do you get severance?

This is no longer a job I once enjoyed

I think that many of those who are now looking for a way out because they can no longer bear this place, at some point in the past actually really enjoyed working here. I am definitely one of them. How did they manage to turn this into a place... — read more

A loaded question!

So, based on your personal experience and observation and discussions with peers, what is the ratio of male to female HC reductions, minority vs. non-minority HC reductions? Age demographics of HC reductions? Are those HC reductions significantly... — read more

Predictions?

Anyone have predictions for what's gonna happen soon? Re-org announcements are coming. More cuts necessary.

What is worse?

When the street punishes shareholders for anemic/ poor financials or basically just stops paying attention to you altogether? Asking for a friend.

Leave on your own terms

My opinion/advice: if you feel vulnerable to what is happening, starts looking and interviewing for outside positions. As a former manager, I saw the writing on the wall in November. I got to work on networking and found a position externally I had a... — read more

Folks you don't rebound from 3 Colossal Strategic

M&A's that occurred during a decade. There is far too much debt and still a company, brand, and captain that are toxic. The Telco SBC Boys always thought they were the smartest in the room. The most dangerous leaders are those who don't know what... — read more

2 weeks notice?

Does anyone have any experience directly or knows someone who left AT&T? Did they give 2 week’s notice? I know that I don’t have to but am wondering if there are any cons. I think the worst AT&T could do is say that I can’t be rehired. — read more

Is a buyout the same as a layoff?

When somebody says they hope T will offer them a buyout, isn't that the same thing as being laid off? Or is it something else that comes with better terms? I'm sorry if this is a stupid question, but I've been reading and hearing both terms and I... — read more

Mad Money Host Jim Cramer says,

AT&T: "Walk away from it. That company is as poorly managed as any company I've ever seen in my lifetime." Not really news, reduced stock, dividends, market cap, benefits and quarterly layoffs are all the proof one needs.
