This about sums up the union's thought process..

Leonard Woodcock, president of the UAW for most of the 1970s, once said, “Our members have the best contract that people with their skills and education could ever hope to get. But we've convinced them that with every new contract, they're entitled... — read more

An outsiders view of the Verizon Strike

An outsiders view of the Verizon Strike. I know it won't make sense to some but it lays it out clearly. In the immortal words of the Rolling Stones: "You can't always get what you want, but if you try sometimes you just might find, you get what you... — read more

Hopefully, we won't have to wait.....

Different This Time

Been with the company for over 20 years & of course a few strikes. Never seen anything like this one from the inside. Software & technology have minimized the typical chaos. Not eliminated but definitely minimized it. Remote repair has cut down on a... — read more

Wireless Stores will get a contract

Wireless Stores will 100% walk out of this with a contract. It is a legal right to organize a Union and by law Verizon has to allow this. This should be interesting to see what they get from this.

EWA copper tech

I am an EWA tech. Doing copper repair. On average I complete 3 jobs per day. If the jobs that I did are the same things the Union techs do on a daily basis then I can honestly say they are severely overpaid. This isnt the type of work you need 20... — read more

Mediator ruling - LBFO

DC source - Mediator is proposing that the Union put the LBFO up for vote. Union fighting that - VZ asking why. Lowell "let the members vote as that is what unions are about, democracy right" direct quote

We will not hear anything for the week!

I believe this will be favorable to the Union since Obama wants a democrat in office. If this is not a GOOD offer then it will cause anger and mistrust going forward with all the other Union contracts coming up. Then Union members may not vote... — read more
