Jan. 2022 will be the end of WFH

Heard it on good authority that come January 2022 everyone will have to return to the office, no exemptions will be allowed. HR is working on the details and will announce the RTO in November. The decision has been made!

Nepotism = lose-lose situation

If anything has been frustrating me here lately, then it’s nepotism. It's affecting both, the company and the employees. The company loses because people are in positions that far exceed their capabilities. On the other hand, employees also lose... — read more

Agreement

Interesting. Just saw an email sent after 6pm yesterday that CWA 1101 and Vzn reached an agreement that ANYONE who put in for the recent surplus offer will be accepted.

Home garaging

With the increasing numbers of covid, what are the chances of home garaging again? Last month in August, covid numbers were higher than August of 2020, and also higher than the month of January of this year. There are also several techs testing... — read more

Not a good company to work for

Verizon is a terrible company to work for. Nobody in the upper management cares about you or the development of your career. If you want career growth, you're out of luck. Those promotions are reserved for brown nosers, hard workers need not apply... — read more

West Bronx Tech checking.

I stand with my brothers and sisters in the office. You go back to an office, we go on a wildcat strike. We won’t let you stand alone, even if the Union isn’t with you.

Budget cuts Enterprise wide

Hans is on the same path with VZ as he was Ericsson. Major labor budget cuts but we continue to bleed out on donations to initiatives related to racial inequality. Leaders are focused on hiring based on race instead of talent. Corporate jets continue... — read more

Hiring Spree

Hiring spree at AT&T is good for the industry. Hence, it is very likely VZ will follow suit and no VSP package will be offered this year folks https://www.lightreading.com/open-ran/atandt-preps-for-hiring-spree-open-ran-deployment/d/d-id/771838 — read more

New Hire Training

I feel for the new hires. Remember when you went away for weeks put up in a hotel somewhere if far enough, or at least in a class with people for a week. Now it's all on the computer and apparently they aren't learning anything of value about the job... — read more

Short job on resume

I didn’t mean to stay here long, but I didn’t think I would be looking for a new job in less than two months because I already saw that this wasn’t the right fit for me. Kudos to those who can stay here longer than that, but I’ve learned that there... — read more

5G...forced out of town

Verizon AND the Union combined the Cable Splicers into one group and have started sending us to the cities to work on 5G. They are forcing the System Techs to work down as Splicers to cover us while we are out of town. Meanwhile the office workers... — read more

I stayed here too long

CWA 1101 is slowing Work From Home Negotiations again

There argument is with less grievances, they have less to do. You would think with less grievances that it would mean more happy workers. This will be an indirect layoff and they’re willing to accept the majority of members leaving the company... — read more

Verizon layoffs

If verizon continues down this path ,of the cr t post that was just deleted , there will be more layoffs because there is lack of focus on the business. Which means more jobs will move offshore. Maybe this is why christie left.

BGCO Layoffs

I'm in b2b and was told to expect longer wait times for all tickets, requests sent in via email, and phone hold times. Reason was that after we combined the coe and bgco, we laid off a bunch of them. True?

We used to have 25 reps. Now we have 6

It’s amazing how much retail has changed in the last few years. Now, if we have someone call in sick we are screwed. Most days we have 4 reps on the floor, and our queues grow to one hour or more on the regular. Considering our pay is team based and... — read more
